Interesting methods. I have watched several of your videos on this method and you have not mentioned about entrances. Do you add a top entrance? what about mite treatment in the boxes of brood that you've moved above the queen excluder? It is mid Feb 2024. Thank you.

Most of my colonies have upper entrances, especially in Winter.

Peter's speaker is quieter as usual so I've always turned my volume up when watching him as always but Amy's speaker came in much louder since shes near the recording device so i had to keep turning volume up and down. Maybe she could speak softer or cover her speaker so its not so startling. As usual the content is great as always.

Peter, what do you prefer solid bottom board vs a screened with a slide in tray for winter. I have both, going to arrange the hive tomorrow for winter in Michigan, w brood on the bottom extra over the top center with honey on the sides looks like rain though, will have to make quick work out of it. Good times playing with bees in the wind and rain, seem like there grumpy already.

Amy, you should follow up those high mite drop colonies with some OA vapor treatments. With those sticky boards you will be able to tell exactly when they are under control. I had a couple like those. Those counts are in the thousands, not hundreds. One of mine took 10 treatments 3 to 4 days apart. That's a record for me! Last check - one mite!

What adhesive did you use to attach the screen to the bucket lid?

It is heat welded in place.
