Fall Jig Tips For BIG BASS

I’ve been on the jig experiment all year. I lock it in my hand all day. The only baits I bring on my kayak is my one jig box. I’ve gained tremendous confidence in jigs. Caught my first flipping/pitching jig fish and it was 5.5 lbs on portage lakes. Skipped it 10 ft under an overhanging tree. Can’t wait to use them more.

My jig rod stays in my hands during the fall all the way down to extreme cold weather. The information you provided is spot on,especially the creek channel swings. Once a person gets proficient at jig fishing, it’s hard to not do it constantly. In fact I bought 150.00 worth of jigs and trailers this weekend just for the fall to late fall period. Great video!!

In February of this year I really gained confidence in jigs on the lower Colorado river. Half ounce jig with a midnight blue Reaction Innovation twerk trailer. I pulled the line away from my rod by hand at a snails pace. I found this retrieve in an article by Mike Long who some people call the biggest cheater in bass fishing. Thank you Mike Long! I caught two bass 5 and 7 lbs.

I NEED to get to work with a jig. Haven’t done any “real” jig style fishing. Only bladed jigs and swim jigs have made the regular rotation for me

I use jigs to skip under docks and brush. Catch a lot of largemouth bass this way. Black blue in the spring and green pumpkin in the fall.

I’ve been using strike king and One Cast Fishing weedless jigs. Caught a lot of fish this year.

It takes a lot of confidence to use a jig but I just love a good jig bite. It’s a great feeling when you feel that thump. Also I keep it at two colors green pumpkin and black and blue.

If you want more confidence use a compact jig to get bites.

I agree they go to crawfish in the fall. Caught some this weekend and they had crawfish antennas sticking out of their throats.

I fish a jig all year long, granted I finished Lake of the Ozarks which predominantly jig fishing or crankbaits are your best bets I feel naked without a jig in my hand.

Bites been dead for almost 2 months for me,put on a micro lip less crankbait and started slaying the crappie,bluegill,a perch and then some world class golden shiners 😂😂

I'm a swim jig guy. There are better or worse days, but it seems to get them no matter what season or weather.

I fish a jig where other lures or patterns are beoken or changing. Why, because you can literally fish a jig of some type in every condition, all year long. Micro, football, swim, casting, punching, hair. You can just fish one of those, if you got the right color, any time all year long. Sometimes other bites are going to be turned on more, but a jig of the right type and color will always get something to bite. Its also quite often the bigger bite too.

What’s crazy is the official site never got back to me on a defective rod back in April. Did plenty of business with them before too. Tried many times to contact them. I’m not being that guy either just putting it here so maybe they see it.
