Roland, I’ve been watching you since I was a child and would wake up early to watch your show. I rode my bike to Dicks sporting goods when I was 8 to buy my first pack of green pumpkin senkos and megastrike after an episode. That was 20 years ago and I still love watching you. Thanks four inspiring so many generations of youth and for the awesome content on KZbin! Happy new year and hope this years fish start biting!!

Roland been watching for many years, you’re like family with the added advantage of teaching tips on fishing. You have great tips for me and I’m 70 and have been fishing for my entire life. Yesterday it was your comment to never use fluorocarbon line for top water. I don’t, but heck it’s something I’ll pass on the the kids. All best in 2022, brother

Hey Mr. Roland, my wife and I are heading to Fort Meyers mid February for our 30th anniversary. We are coming from Oregon, and are hoping to do some inshore fishing. What would go after? Thanks for your videos, and the years of information and entertainment. Thank you with Love and respect.

Roland I'm 33 years old and have followed you since I was a kid. I'm always willing to learn and you've delivered. I have a question that may be silly to some but I've yet to find a good way to handle it. Im in the Midwest and typically throw about 25lb braid tied to a lure. When I get snagged it's incredibly hard to break my line. I'm not one that wants to cut my line and leave 20' floating around. You throw alot heavier line so how do you cope with snags and manage to break your line without cutting into your hands? Thanks Roland.

@dennisblanchard96534 жыл бұрын
If thumbing your spool does not work. Try using a stick or screw driver wrap your line around it and pull stright back with the rod pointed right at the lure. Most of the time your lure will come free but the hook will be messed up. Goog luck and tight lines

They are decent but the Bass Pro brand reels are a better value for the money, the Pro Qualifiers are far better than any Lews reel I have used.
@clarenceboddiker95594 жыл бұрын
@@Lray4x4 No shit?? That's impressive. I love my Lew's but am willing to try them
@Lray4x44 жыл бұрын
@@clarenceboddiker9559 The pro qualifiers are a great deal for $100 and they often go on sale, for $70-$80 which is a steal. I have used several other brands but I like the Pro qualifiers the best, especially for the price. I fish a lot with my brother who has 4-5 lews baitcasters and he wants to switch after I let him use my pro qualifiers. I also have a few of the Tourney special, Bionic. Plus, and Extreme reels from Bass Pro that have all been great. I have used Abu Garcia, Quantum, Diawa, and several others in the past and they all haven't held up as well, my main arsenal now consists of Bass Pro and Pflueger reels.
