I live in Wilmington North Carolina. I’ve seen a lot of hurricanes. I’m not a meteorologist, but I have seen these storms until it gets north of me. I am not going to rest easy. I see them Hit us when they say they’re going out to sea

@@davidj.379 Probably on the frequency with Florida. We usually get the late September storms. The closer you are to the beach, the better without being on the beach then the further away you get you have problems with inland flooding. I know that sounds weird but after 30 years of hurricanes here in Wilmington that’s what I’ve learned. Sometimes we go through a period where we get one or two every year then you might go three or four orfive years without any. We usually at least get a tropical storm every year but our building codes are pretty well sufficient for up to about a category three minus a tree falling on your house. It’s really not a big deal. The weather people make a bigger deal out of it but a category four or five that makes me nervous. I guess what I’m saying anything under a strong category three I’m staying for if it’s a strong category Three or more powerful storm I’m getting out of Dodge. I hope that helps. I’m more concerned with the crime that I am hurricanes that happens more frequently.

Between Nova Scotia and Maine lies New Brunswick. We share the Bay of Fundy. Many US channels seem to be referring to us as Newfoundland or think we're part of Nova Scotia Which is further Northeast of Cape Breton. Just letting you know we're here and we're in this too!

The way it behaves because of upper jet stream is it will increase the factors on the opposite jet stream flow , so west to south west could be impacted with stronger or faster moisture levels in the atmosphere .

It looks like storm surge could be on the order of 3-6’ on the south shore. The higher surge looks to come on Long Island sound as the water is pushed in from the west. - Jonathan

Actually not even close. In 1899 the San Ciriaco hurricane lasted 28 days. Hurricane ginger last just shy of 28 days in 1971. A lot of super long lived hurricanes. It’s crazy! - Jonathan
