I have used the Ulta under eye brightener since you showed it to us months ago.I love it. I have not been as pleased with Elf or other drugstore brands. They don't work for my skin as they seem to for you. I do love and use Loreal telescopic lens mascara. This autumn makeup looks really pretty on you. I'm a True Summer color pallete but I took the technique you showed us in your monochromatic video and used a cool toned blush from Ilia on my eyes, cheeks and lips and it worked and was very pretty. Totally know what you mean about beauty overconsumption and beauty market oversaturation....Jen Phelps (on YT) just did a video on that topic, check it out if you have the time. Since you mentioned the high end cost of Clinique Black Honey products, you may be interested to know that,probably as part of the recent "black lip oil" fall lip trend that's basically a take on the Black Honey thing, Milani has released a "black" lip oil that she said when worn leaves the most dark, berry or wine toned (but wearable) moisturing and cushiony stain. I personally have the original Clinique Black Honey lipstick, but honestly I have a couple of those Milani lip oils (they're called Fruit Fetish I think) and they come in lots of shades and they are all so beautiful, especially paired with a lipliner. I know you get a lot of PR,maybe you've already been sent some,but if you're looking for affordable Black Honey alternatives999 for viewers of yours who can't (or would prefer not to) spend $28 (I think that's the price, it's somewhere around there anyway), here's a great alternative.

I’m a true spring but my lord I love autumn colors! Such a great look! I need that mascara! In the 80’s I wore a teal-green mascara… lol it was my go to on the daily! I so miss those days of the Christmas boxes from Estée Lauder and Lancôme…. It was the best part of Christmas for me. Also, the perfume boxes they had. It was something truly to look forward to. Seasonal color is based skin tone, virgin hair color and eyes. Its a 7 level checklist system. The straw is from Amazon, its called an anti-wrinkle straw

Other pencils blend well over shadows though. Its not a blendable formula. But I could use it on bare skin, but its deep so I probably wont

So relaxing to watch your videos on the weekend! I’m definitely going to try the burgundy mascara and the eyeshadow trios. So much easier on a busy morning than using a large pallete and trying to decide what I want to use. So yes,I do prefer drugstore make up. I find it more beneficial for me to invest in skin care. Often, this can be a higher priced item, but not always thanks to your suggestions.😊

Hope all is well for y'all after Helene. I love the berry tones!! I worked at CVS in the 90s and was in charge of the makeup section. The displays I put up were a lot for each season. Christmas was crazy because Revlon, Coty released their own perfumes back then. I always got excited to see the eyeshadow palettes for Spring and Fall. I'm excited to watch this because as I do I'm going to ship mym stash. I have more makeup than a lot of beauty KZbinrs and I barely get to use much of it at all. I only put makeup on once and I don't do it everyday. I'm getting older too so everything is harder. Glad I found you! New sub today. Edit: I i can't remember the last time I wore an actually pair of earrings even with three piercings in each ear. I stretched the forest one out so bad from the 80s that you can take a hook with a back right off by just rotating it. I don't care and I'm not getting the surgery to fix it because u don't have money to buy any jewelry anyway anymore. Partly because of the makeup i mentioned on the first paragraph. I had to stopped buying it as much as I can. The only thing I've purchased is replacements of my eyebrow products. I haven't needed to buy anything else and I probably won't need to for years really. I have so many unopened things it's not even funny. Backups of backups because you know, if there's a zombie apocalypse, you're going to need your makeup. But, those chunky 80s earrings did all of the bad things to my earlobes. ☺️

Beautiful Fall/Autumn look! I too love “no makeup” makeup looks for days when I’m just running around doing errands and/or homebody days. BUT I also love, love, love being glamourous too! So I love that you teach everything, with attention to applying to mature skin! 🥰 Also I too used color mascara in the 80’s. I have green eyes, so I used both a blue and a dark green mascara! They both were dark shades and subtle. I can’t remember the brand, maybe Maybelline? Loved them both. I plan to get a dark burgundy mascara this season, just for fun! I always liked the forest green mascara from the drugstore. Really made my blue eyes pop. My holy grail mascara back then was L’Oréal Lash Out! How I wish they’d bring it back to market for Pete’s sake!😊 I really wish I could afford to get one of your color consults. I'm going to be 69 in November and I started using tretinoin in May. Don't be scared. I know it's a little nerve wrecking in the beginning, but if you know it's going to make your skin look bad in the beginning, you know to be patient. The skin flakes because we're shedding all that dead skin that nothing else truly gets rid of.

Start slow maybe a few times a week and layer over a moisturizer to start and see how your skin does. You can avoid the corners of the eyes, lips and around the nose as sensitive areas. Good luck.

You got this. Start with retinol every other night. Always on cleansed “dry” skin. Then you can layer any hydrating serums and moisturizer if needed. Bump up your SPF, never miss a day. Retinol makes you more photo-sensitive and could cause more sun damage❤
