To all the haters, this is a simple drum part for a simple song. It's punk! Get over it! Andy just hits hard and keep it solid for this one. I know you guys think because Vic filmed it you can be all snarky and say it's not technical and flashy enough for drumstick video, if you want that go watch Mike Portnoy or Neil Peart over play huge fils and show off. This is 90% of what drummers actually do. Keep it simple and grooving and solid. Period.

I don’t think its the drumming, the drumming is quite over being a “basic beat” or “simple” its more a lack of technique

Why the hate? Dude's playing is solid as hell. He's just serious in regards to the stiffness. Imagine the pressure of performing in front of thousands while being associated with a famous band - that shit hits hard once all eyes are on you as the slightest mistake from the drummer is noticeable while an error from the guitars can go unnoticed for at least 10 seconds for the untrained ears.

Love Andy and all of them! Together they ARE Fall Out Boy. It's not Andy's fault Vic chose to film him during a less intense, and not showy piece. Haters bewilder me...smile, laugh, punch a pillow, primal scream into a pillow (taught my teens that trick to sllow them to vent without getting bitched out or letting it out violently. They loved it, I love it, my fist thanks me for it, and expensive art glass now breaths easier. Just figure out a way to quit hating on people puleeez.

And sooo good looking I mean seriously. People are like "PETE! PATRICK!" And as amazing as they are. There is more to fob than Pete and Patrick. Joe and Andy are forgotten a lot yet they have so much amazing spirit! crap if write more but I need a poo

I don’t understand why people hate on casual drummers for being famous and not having the highest level of technical proficiency. Also if you listen to FOB’s first albums, the drumming is actually pretty technical, with very few simple beats and long repetitions. It’s obvious he’s gotten older and more successful and he’s stopped pushing his skill further, so I don’t get why people hate. Like he said in an interview that he did like a year ago with Harry Miree that he’s comfortable with what he can play and he kinda just “cruises”.

Would love to know where this audio is coming from. Sounds crisp and clear, but still with that raw live energy. Camera or sound desk??? Can anyone help me solve the mystery?

+Vic Firth Thank you! Love how the drums sound so prominent in the mix - perfect for the focus of the video. I'd really like to do some filming and editing for Vic Firth. Any idea how I can send in some of my videos or get involved?

Umm...this guy drives their music extremely well, so to all the people commenting with technical expertise and criticism--please go ahead and ruminate on how much better you are at drumming...while you’re clocked in at your 40-hour work week, earning 1/1000th what he does.

Why would you put a promotional video up, of a guy shredding your sticks into sawdust in just one song? Pro Marks are better.

because that's what drum sticks do. they only play this song near the end of the shows so its not just one song.
