Here in New England it's 93, sunny and humid today. I'm dying for the cooler temps of fall and all the style options that coincide. Especially pumped to break out my new light grey merino wool v neck sweater from Bonobos that i picked up this summer on sale.

In the UK we're in the middle of a heatwave atm John. 32 degrees here Today. Great advice about the 'earthy tones' for Autumn. Personally I can't wait for the temp drop due to my lung disease - it makes everything more difficult than it already is.

Hey John. Great video post. As a man of color, I usually have in my wardrobe arsenal the following colors: white, khaki, dark purple or plum, red, gray, light blue, orange, gold, or pink. I also have some darker blue color tops as well.

I cant help myself with my socks, I always feel the need to match or to or compliment an accessory color. Pink shirt? Pink and blue argyle socks! I do stay away from the novelty socks, but I really like the unexpected pop you can add.

Bravo on this video. In AZ it's still well above 100 on the daily, but I do enjoy putting together fall colors. A go to classic is a yellow plaid shirt, medium/dark wash jeans, and brown shoes/belt.

I think it's alright to wear wacky socks, as long as the colors work with your outfit. I also have argyle socks in my female wardrobe. My snappy dresser grampa always wore them.

John, I was clothes shopping over the last few days, and I am changing my style (thanks to your advice mainly): 1. switching from Tee shirts to polo shirts (collars look more mature than crew neck T-shirts as I get older); 2. buying quality over quantity (Ralph Lauren for polos, and Levi's for jeans, as oppose to Gap and Uniqlo). I personally opt out of crew neck sweaters (unless it is really unique), they are mostly looking for somebody whos 70+ y/o. Stick to vneck and cardigans. There are also very cool looking sweaters that has like these lapels slash very loose kind of turtle necks, almost like scarf attached. I got only one crew neck but its super cool, it almost looks like inside out, very interestingly fashioned, by riccovero (amazing Norvegian brand). Most of my sweaters is in merino wool.

Great vid as always John. When it comes to socks, I tend to match them more with my shirt rather than pants. As far as sock styling, I think it’s where guys can show a splash of colour and pattern almost like a pocket square to a blazer or suit. I stay away from solid colours as it’s just too plain for me. I was watching one of your videos about five years ago. Mistakes Older guys make trying to look youthful. In that video you said Graphic T-shirts are no go for older men. I wear graphic t-shirt often and i am almost 60yrs. It has nothing to do with trying to appear youthful. I am a Colts, Pacers, Star Trek (all Sf) fan and Airforce Veteran. All which i have and wear graphic T-Shirts. As well as others making fun of my age and Black History. With that being said. I wear these shirts at the appropriate places and events. Sir can you clarify inappropriate graphic t-shirt. Maybe I am not understanding what you meant?
