A trick I use for using less stuffing for decorations like this is to wad up newspaper or plastic grocery bags to put into the very center. Then add the stuffing around that

You can also just buy some regular cheap bed pillows at Walmart and use the filling out of them, they are like 3 bucks

NO SEWING MACHINE TIP FOR BEGINNING CRAFTERS: I just started crafting again (after 20+ years), so I don't have a lot of supplies. I didn't have an embroidery needle or thick thread, so I made a large "needle" out of some 14 gauge beading wire I had and clear fishing line I found in the garage. Sounds really ghetto, but it worked since it was a sweater. I can't wait to try making more this way. BEAUTIFUL!!!

GHETTO? Is that really how ignorant you are in the areas of expressive and receptive language skills or just lazy, distasteful, and too linguistically and emotionally stunted and constipated to care about the cultural and psychosocial aspects of such language? No points for your "ghetto" modified sweater pumpkins, even though they would have been awesome based on being "simply sewed or styled" modified sweater pumpkins by being resourceful, and using the things that you had on hand and using negative forms of speech

This is such a cute idea! I crocheted some pumpkins last year that were kind of like this but this idea using old sweaters takes some of the work out of it! Thanks for sharing!

Can you tell me the fabric sizes for each of your pumpkins in the pumpkin tower? Thank you!
@coralbeckwith1205 жыл бұрын
If your using pumpkin as a door stop, you could use a rock to suit the size your making for the centre, inside the filler.

These pumpkins are beautiful, however I don't even know how to use a needle and thread, lol! Do you sell these on etsy by any chance? I would love to purchase some if you do.
@kirstenashley42896 жыл бұрын
I know this comment is old, but girly, all you have to do is stick the thread through the hole of the needle and pull it until about 6-12 inches are through the hole and hanging out the other side. Then stick the needle's pointy tip through the fabric and pull it through all the way until the thread has come through with it. Just make sure you've made a knot at the end of your thread so it won't go completely through the fabric and then you're done with your first stitch! I sewed tiny ugly pillows by hand when I was only like 6; it's super easy. Just sit down with a scrap of fabric one day and mess around and you'll get the hang of it in 2 seconds flat! c:
