love you are back! quick question from a UK rider- if English hunter style is like a half seat, do you only use the rein to stop him rushing? As in UK style, you use your seat to slow and keep rhythm so if he's rushy why don't you sit deep, I think mine would explode if I approached jumps in half seat haha. No criticism at all just want to understand different equestrian culture :)

I totally agree, I try to sit before the fences to slow him down but normally when we jump around especially in the jumpers, I sit in somewhat of a half seat!

i want a horse so bad, i’ve ridden horses, i’ve tacked up many times before, i understand that there’s way more to horse riding. i really miss it though, riding is so fun 🥺

I don’t know if you do this already, but if you don’t, a little friendly tip for making catching and leading easier, make sure you’re going out to him and just feeding him/spending time with him; don’t ride him every time. That way he’ll learn being caught = food and time with his favourite, not always work. My boy was super tricky to catch because his old owners rode him every time, within a month he’d run up to me ☺️
