Honestly, the perk of homeschooling is you don't have to worry about the morning rush. They can sleep in. And this is super well planned because their kids get to see what mom and dad where doing while they slept. If he keeps this schedule no one is going to get hurt and its so nice to have a quiet shop at the store vs the busy early evening shopper rush.. uhh, I dread those.

Amazon prime can be your best resource and you can do subscribe and save so that every month you have certain things delivered monthly or bi-monthly. You can order a lot of clothes, shoes and even food from there. You’re doing good, one day at a time.

I have a suggestion for clothing shopping and that is to do it online. They usually have all sizes available and you can do it at night when the kids go to bed and have it shipped( I’m sure for free bc of the amount you would be spending) I only have 3 kids but I shop at old navy online when they have good sales and they are just as cheap if not cheaper than Walmart. ( you could always have socks, underwear, etc shipped to you from Walmart) :)

I really am impressed at how you just jumped in and took control of everything. You might say that you have no choice but in reality you DO have a choice. You could let your lives crumble and fall apart. That’s what happened when my mother left my father, brother and I. My father chose to drown his sorrows in alcohol while I took care of of my brother. I was 13 and he was only 5. You’re strong, even in your moments of weakness. You’re doing a better job than you’ll ever realize. ☺️❤️

Just a thought: make sure with coats, that they are big enough to allow for winter clothes (sweater, sweatshirt) underneath, and still zip comfortably. I have had good luck at Salvation Army store for coats. Also, I participate in something called Freecycle. It is a website; groups based on locale. Offer items or post 'wanted'.

I'm pretty impressed by the way you are handling all these new things your life is bringing. I've lived with my dad until I was 11 years. He passed away four days after his forty nine birthday.
