It got the job done but it was definitely punching above its weight. Glad ya had the skid lid on!

Yeah. It wasn't pretty, but done. Skid Lid. Never heard that one before. Nice!

@@OffGridandWhiskey I'd have called it a brain bucket but with you that might be questionable. 😜

450 rancher is solid saw for what it is... Iv got one running a 20" and it pulls it in oak... It's my go to saw for the past 6 years as long as I don't need something with a longer bar.. I'd guess mines a 150 cords deep at this point I'm in the firewood business. After about 50 cords the coil crapped out. Other than that it's been trouble free.

Nice! I love it. Just missed a used one that looked great for sale: $150. I can totally see it being a 'Go To.' What do you use to split firewood?
@tl163517 сағат бұрын
@OffGridandWhiskey it will take of 70% of the trees I typically deal with pretty efficiently.... I just have 2 older basic splitters.. or on nice straight stuff that's breaking easy I'm a fan of the fiskars maul and fiskars splitting axe. It's actually faster on nice wood.

@OffGridandWhiskey yeah $150 probably should have snagged it for a spare.

I use both Fiskers, too. Love them!

@@OffGridandWhiskey I use the maul constantly breaking them to the point they can be lifted on to the truck or spliter.. I'll bet I would have went through 20 wooden handles on my old mauls to do what the fiskars has already done. Something about the shape of the head splits better than any conventional head iv used.

Who would’ve thought at your age you’d still be getting this much wood?
