Got a 97 Husqvarna 55 today to add to my saws. I used to buy new stuff but you have shown me the older stuff works just fine. Spent the day going thru it and got it running. Needs a few minor parts to make it 100% and I have those ordered already. I needed a smaller saw for little stuff and this will fit the bill perfect and I have very little into it. Its my first husky and so far I really like it. Thanks Buckin for showing me the older stuff can CUT! I know a 97 isn't that old but its my oldest saw. You sure fell those trees with precision! Great vid.

Throwing sticks out of the way with the top of the bar works so much better than bending over and trying to throw it by hand. Even more impressive when you give yourself a target to try and hit😁 keep pumpin out great content Buckin! Hopefully the wife and kids and I can make it to buckinstock some day! Also, I am a wild land firefighter down here in oregon, thos tools look like they might have been the first whack at a combi tool. Definitely a couple pieces of firefighting history. Hi Buckin another great video nice too see the old Simplicity walk behind tractor I have one also I have a buzz saw on it now for cutting firewood but it is amazing how many attachments they have for them I have for attachments for the front the buzz saw it is actually a home built one my Dad bought from someone I also have a sickle mower a snowblower a rotary mower a snowplow and the weight bar too counterbalance the rear attachments I have a rototiller and a cultivator we used to have a sulky too ride on when mowing with the rotary mower I cannot figure out how too attach photos or I would have keep the videos coming I look forward too watching them

that whistle with metropoiton on it was prob a police whistle which all the officers would have been issued with when they went out on the beat !!! , its great to see ganges taking a real interest in what you do Buckin , pickin up some of your knowledge , takes a long time for it all to sink in doesnt it , when he gets up in the morning before you do then & gets ready to go to work is when he'll be on the right road to success , it takes donkeys years for all that knowledge to sink it , what due think Buckin !!! love all your videos just great keep up the fantastic work you

I've had good luck using my 20 ton stubby jack to "persuade" leaning trees to fall where I wanted them. Weyehauser used to use 500 ton twin cylinder porta packs to bring down the "big ones" sideways so they didn't go rolling down hill and get damaged. You need to make a larger plate to fit over the top of the jack to spread the pressure, or the jacks top will push into the wood.

Just a small tip from a salty old carpenter/ cabinet maker. Make sure that Fir is at about 6-7% Moisture content prior to install in your house or it will shrink about an 1/8” across the grain and in thickness. Kiln drying is preferable. Just saying Buckin! Wish I could help install it! Fir is wonderful. Sharp splinters tho. New subs....you’re in the right place for a positive mental tune up and adjustment. Hello friends! Stay safe and positive!

Smoke Chaser piece of kit. We also take the Pulaski’s and cut the face off and weld a flat stock on it for a tool you can beat wedges with.

The USFS tools are a multi axe kit (new ones have cotter pins instead of being screw together). The extra tools come in a pouch with different tools for wildland fire work like axe heads, fire rakes, mattocks, shovels etc. That writing on the axe head (F1S-FS might be Forest Service and 1 might be region 1) so those axes MIGHT have originally came from US Forest Service region 1 which includes northern Idaho, Montana and North Dakota.
