It is really hard to find someone who is both available and compatible, at least for me it was always a challenge. I once fell for a married man and it was mutual, a sort of a soul-bond, but apart from holding hands on one occasion, nothing ever really happened between us. I could not imagine myself having sex with someone who is taken, or building my hopes around the potential end of a marriage. Luckily, he wasn`t into cheating either, so he always tried to arrange other people in our company, to avoid the two of us being alone. The whole thing made me realise that it is easy to say "don`t fall for a married person", cause you never really know and are not supposed to judge, either.

Sometimes you fall for a married man completely unexpectedly especially when you work with 98% men. You don’t plan it. It just happens. But I’ve never tried to develop a relationship from it. Just kept it a secret to myself. And sometimes you can tell the man feels the same in return by his actions and eye contact but he’s a good guy so he’s never acted on it and you both have never discussed it and nothing ever came from it because you and this good guy are practicing self control. And maybe one day, if something happens to his marriage, maybe then he will approach you as a divorcee. But until then, never let him know how you feel and don’t try to start an affair because it is wrong. You don’t have to act on your feelings just because you have them. Frankly, if he’s married and I feel he may share the same feelings, but he does nothing about it, I will have much more respect for him. After all, if he cheats on his wife then he’ll cheat on you too.

Ok I got one for you.... I was with this partner for 8 years. We did have some fights and he was younger than me. We both were also striving for a very competitive career in horse racing.... He was already very successful and I was just beginning. So I think in the same way that he was proud of me. He was also ashamed because I didn't just roll over and have kids like the rest of his friends and that's what he really wanted and I really wanted my career first.... So I went on to begin to be successful and I decided to go on my own. I left him and moved away to the other side of the country because I still loved him and he still loved me.... And it's like if we were anywhere near each other we had to be together. But yet we were so not on the same level with the fact that I wanted to have a career and he wanted a family..... So to make a long story short, I moved away for 13 years. Never spoke to him. Did not have any social media and made sure we went our separate ways. Even though we were both still in love with each other. I never stopped dreaming of him. I never stopped trying to replace him. Apparently he did the same thing only he had three children with someone and was apparently forced into a marriage with this woman because she already had threatened to take his children away.... 13 years later my mother passes away and he was very close with my family and I was in my home for the funeral and for support to my father and he just happened to stop by because he had heard my mother had passed. He had no idea I was there. Since this moment we can't stop seeing each other. We can't stop being with each other. We love each other and we have missed each other so much. But.... Now he has a family that he has to always go home too and a wife that he does not love. Now I'm stuck here in the middle of wanting to be in his life and he comes and sees me as much as he can. But it definitely hurts to know that someone else is in my place living in the house that I picked everything for us to live in and she doesn't lift a finger. Sleeps all day doesn't tend to him or the children and just uses him for his money but he's afraid to lose his children. I feel like everything is my fault just because I didn't roll over and have a bunch of kids and now I'm paying the price. I love him and I will never let go. I don't know if it's worth it. I certainly think it is because I think it's amazing that we have a second chance... I guess. It's very hard to be third and fourth place all the time when I used to be number one I certainly put him above myself.... And yes I have tried people over the years to replace him but nobody is him and he has said the exact same thing about me when we are together. It's unlike anything I've ever experienced and the feeling of mutual for him, but he always has to cut me off and go home.... To the home we once lived in... To the home I chose everything for it was just my stupid fault for not having kids with him.

I have never had any relationships with any man before. And i have always been afraid to. I mean, how could i be deserving of something so beautiful when my own Father never even love me enough to respect me? He had beaten me when i was growing up and now in my early 20s, i never knew what it was like to feel truly loved. The first man to ever hold my hand and kiss me was my therapist. He was married and i did not know. I mean how should i know i was young, (19) and he was like older than me (35). I did not know how to react to something like that. Everything was new and foreign and I was so afraid of displeasing him so i did everything he wanted me to do. We had engaged in sexual intercourse but prior to that i was reluctant to let him anywhere near me because of past multiple traumas from male figures of authority in my life. They had all abused me. Some molested me. And they all treated me badly. But because i had so much trust in him, i gave him everything. My heart, my soul, my body, my innocence and virginity. But i was so afraid... This happened just last year, November 4th of 2019. And now i am going to officially see him in court this week. I never wanted to take him away from his family and put him in jail. I never wished to hurt anyone. I never wanted to feel so much pain in my heart when i remember him. I never wanted to hurt like this. I never imagined that my first would be this detrimental to me. I really did just like him. I admired him beacuse he was the first to give me a sense of what safety and comfort felt like. He dirtied my perception of love... I really did just wanted to feel what it was like to be loved. All i wanted to do was confess to him my confused feelings of affection and admiration for him, in hopes that he could help me understand these new feelings. And if they were "real" and actual feelings of "love" But he lied to me by hiding his true intentions and the truth of his actions. He betrayed me. He manipulated me into thinking that what he was doing TO me was right. He... Used me. Like a "Sex toy". (This feelings of betrayal is getting old. Heck, my family does that all the time and yet why does it still hurt?) Why did he have to take advantage of my state of vulnerability then and corrupt me? He made me do something immoral and illegal, technically speaking. He is a married man, that had kids, Who was my therapist, and he was 15 years older than me. Sexual relationships with a patient and therapist is illegal. (at that time i had no idea. I did not know what he was doing to me was already rape and it was abuse. He told me that it was a part of the therapy.) He abused his position of authority and trust that he had over me and took advantage of my vulnerability. The case i am fighting for is rape. And i am in so much pain. I never knew how painful a heartbreak is. Its funny though. He and i were never even officially "in" a relationship to begin with, so i do not understand it myself, why i feel this heartbreak. But all i know is that my heart is in so, so much pain.. We just met the second time when it had happened. I came to him to ask for help. I will never get the answers why he did this to me. And i will never, ever feel safe, loved nor worthy of love ever again. I hoped that i could feel what it was like to feel love, but i never knew how much it would actually cost me. I can never take back that part of myself i lost to him. I wish i could. I knew that i was not worthy of love in the first place. I thought i could. I thought i was. I really thought i was allowed to feel something so beautiful. But it is and always will be just another fantasy. A dream that i will never, in my life, ever experience. Because i am so broken. And no one will ever love something so broken.

I didnt know that he was married, until he told me and i was really upset. We decided to do the right thing before entering into relationship. Yes - he is not gonna leave his wife and he needs to fix the marriage to make it work. Doing the right thing is not easy but it will save your self in trouble and complications. So how do you square this narrative if the married man actually has permission from his wife to have a relationship (intimate or not) with another woman? Not an open marriage, but were the man actually *can* care for, in a loving and respectful way, more than one? Where the man and both women know and consent to h arrangement? Yes, it is illegal to have more than one wife under the law. Yes, it can be challenging to manage, but possible with the right people. It's a pretty big assumption that *all* men treat a second woman as a "cheap toy," as you put it. Frankly, what I describe is more common than most people think - but people in such relationship don't show it openly because of a narrow-minded, judgmental public that have been taught (wrongly) through religion by that it is somehow immoral to care about more than one person.
