Alright guys - we're back with Falling in Reverse and again, I had to do a double feature! I kinda love these double features.. Listening to them back to back like this helps me noticed all the differences and I think helps me determine which one I instantly like better. Which one do YOU like better? When Ronnie first got out of prison even with the lyrics he wrote he hadn’t delt with his feelings of depression and his drug addictions ,so the reimagined versions are him years later doing the same songs with better understanding

Oh wow, I didn't know the story or reason behind the reimagnings. That's really amazing that he did that though.. he seems super creative.

The first video came out right after Ronnie got out of prison for 2 and half years when the first Falling In Reverse album came out,Ronnie put the band together while he was still in prison and started recording the day he got out

I like both types of songs the faster ones,like the first version but also love ballads.If I had to choose I think the second one was so different and unexpected I liked it more!

Always loved this catchy beat,almost too fast but not..yes the change up to more serious language 2nd time through gets your attention in a good way. Really loved your Friday choice!

I love your comment on bands that completely restructure a song. Like you said we have covers and acoustic variations on songs that make them unique in their own way, take Home free for example. They covered The Gambler by Kenny Rogers, it was unique in that they made it more of a buddies hanging out playing cards and chatting type dealy. Kenny's was more dark and life lesson typey. While thats cool, its neat to see an artist take their own song and completely turn it into something else with an entirely different meaning. He made a while crude and albeit obvious gesture to the state of his life at that time with the original but in a careless manner, then years later turned it into a borderline opera that uses the same material but to now reflect on his past and how he sees it now. Or something like that. Just my thoughts. 😅

The reimagined version is a pretty popular one on reaction channels, so I've seen that one quite a few times. I actually hadn't seen the original until just now watching it with you. Having been already familiar with the reimagined version, the original just sounded comparatively bad to me, lol (sorry!). Had I only ever heard the original, I think I would have been just like, "meh", about it. The reimagined one is *so much better* imo. The reimagined one is actually beautiful, and it's a really cool video too.

Yeah Ronnie is a bit controversial, but he is also a genius the way he works with these songs where there are two versions both of which are really good but different and still around the same theme.

Yeah, musically and artistically I think he's amazing and very creative.
