I'm quite sure the drill is part of a 'gritty' part of the song and is meant to sound unnerving rather than enjoyable at that moment. Surely it's more that people like the dark atmosphere of that part of the song as part of an experience? Like watching a horror film for a thrill etc. Billie and Finneas also use screams a lot too i noticed. I always think the sound of the X factor crowd screaming their support for the performers sounds kind of weird and desperate. They should use that sound too. And give me royalties : )

SO true! Low Key Charming. Like, I totally buy into his genuine nice-guy vibes and all, I really do. But I can't help suspecting that what this actually translates into, in real life, is that a) When you fall hard for him, it overtakes swiftly and is a complete surprise-as is the inevitable shock ten wonderful minutes later when he breaks up with you. And then, b) on his next number one track, you hear an autotuned version Finneas recorded of the sound your heart made when he smashed it into a million glittery pieces.

I've been watching Jimmy for years, both on here and on Late Night previously, and this interview was by far one of the most interesting but still casual and well composed interviews ever. Top 10 for sure. Jimmy seems so genuinely interested in what Finneas is saying and the sound clips, and there's such a cool air of a casual friendly conversation to this. There's no big showmanship or phony behavior, and I think it's delightful. In recent years, sometimes Jimmy seems to force his reactions, over dramaticize a story, and feign intrigue. This one is different. It feels like watching the old Jimmy again. I'm so glad Finneas stopped by.
