It's actually false. The truth is that the agriculture industry has lobbied against daylight savings time. It was NOT implemented to help farmers. It was an energy conservation measure. The idea that it was done "for farmers" is ludicrous. Farmers get up with the sun and work until the sun goes down no matter what...doesn't matter what the clocks read.
