Rocky is the greatest movie character ever and the best thing about the character is that we can all be just like him. Life is all about getting back up after being knocked down, never giving up, fighting for your family and believing in yourself but most of all it teaches us that the only person who can truly change your life is the person who looks back at you in the mirror. Rocky should be taught in school!

Yep for me too (41 here). I grew up watching their movies mostly in the 90s (including their movies from the 80s, on VHS mind you... man, memories there). They're icons for me. I would also add Jackie Chan to that group (whom I believe should have appeared in at least one of the Expandable movies). Both Stallone and Schwarzenegger in particular are living legends; they both lived enough to fill up 3 lives of events in a single one, an incredible journey they had.

RIP to Burt Young (Paulie) as well. For those unaware, he was an amazing boxer. Dropped out of high school to join the Marines as a 16 year old and was 32-2 vs likely much older guys. He was 14-0 as a pro. I met him at a buffet in Las Vegas about 20 years ago, and he invited me to sit with him since we were both alone. Sweetest guy in the world. Told me that during the "parking garage scuffle part" in part 3 that he was being very careful to not really "crack Stallone's noggin" for real 😂😂😂.

I was only 2 when it came out so unfortunately never got to see that or Rocky 2 in the cinema in 79 as was still too young at 5 but did see Rocky 3 in 82 when i was 8 and Rocky 4 when i was 11 still both awesome did see 5 but hated it but still always loved the first and second when i got to see them on VHS with Carl Weathers as Apollo R.I.P you legend 😢🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😪😔😔

Years ago I worked for Sly and I can tell you that he is the real deal. Such a loving, family man. Though I knew him back when Sage was still alive and the girls were super young. Sage was as BEAUTIFUL as his father. Can only imagine the suffering that Sage's death brought his father...breaks my heart because their bond was BEAUTIFUL and unbreakable 😭💕😇 .

Sylvester Stallone is one of the few remaining legends of Hollywood. People do not even realize that he has written hundreds of scripts that have never been made, he is an accomplished artist as well, and above all of that is a real fine gentleman. I got a chance to meet him a long time ago in Los Angeles and he was so kind and accommodating to me and my family. We took pictures with him, and really appreciated his willingness to take the time to talk with us. Thanks, Sly.

my dad(rip)was a danish military commando trained in boxing/martial arts combat fighting in the old days in 1940's ww2.and was sent to the pacific theater:/South China Sea an active war front to guard allied forces armament ships from frogman attacks that placed mines on the hulls of the ships to destroy their cargo hold of bombs/guns/ammo...... his favourite boxer was Rocky Marciano. and was told he could possibly get the European middle weight title but he pursued his career as a sailor making his first mate papers after the war and then got married then they moved overseas to a new life with the kids. he loved watching the Stallone rocky movies.☺
