Yea normally the people who bring these animals into an unfamiliar environment just do it to make people laugh without actually educating anyone. They also tend to be super loud stressing these already potentially dangerous animals out even more. So being calm like Chris is a much better approach

This guy may be "boring" compared to Jeff, but he handles the animals better, keeps them calmer and isn't obnoxious. Even Jimmy was calmer and more curious about the animals than he ever was with Jeff simply because this guy was more interested in actually educating instead of being loud (making the animals nervous) and trying to be funny. When it comes to animal segments that use live exotic animals, the calm-and-educated approach is a far better and safer way to do things.

I love porcupines. I had a close encounter with one just a couple weeks ago while out in the woods with my dad. It waddled across the road and thought that if it hid under a fern, I couldn't see it. It had its butt pointed at me and I just kept talking to him and every once in awhile he would slowly turn his head to look at me. As soon as I got done taking a couple of pictures and having a chat with it, it wandered back into the woods. So freakin cute!

I remember as a kid in the 90's, reading about and being fascinated by gila monsters being venomous. Then later in the 2000s when they discovered komodo dragons were venomous, when previously they thought their mouths were just so full of bacteria it caused massive infection. But now to hear that there are 500 known venomous lizards is wild. I never heard about that, but you bet I'm gonna be reading about it for some time now. How the venoms work, their potential purpose, potency, differences between species. I've got a treasure trove of information to go through. :D
