The mutant bears (called Yao-guai in the games) are actually some of the more dangerous monsters… though also I think once he lost his gun they were just portraying the knight as pretty cowardly once his gun was destroyed, and then running/tripping/hitting his head took care of the rest.

@@Dark__Thoughts I mean, sure. They were “relatively hard”, but by the time you have armor like that in the games hard is very relative. But did Titus really even try? He just panicked as soon as his gun was gone, and if you just stand there and let it hit you I’m sure any armor wouldn’t help much. I’m personally fine with them taking a narrative focus on showing Titus not deserving the armor by any standards including the ones he claimed himself (acts of bravery), they do bring up hypocrisy a few times. @MarcoMM16 ай бұрын
Great reaction Sess like always! So a bit of non-spoiler-y background information that doesn't really get explained in the show: The Fallout world basically diverges from ours in the 1940s. Transistor-based technology (specifically micro-transistors, the things that make computers and any compact advanced electronics possible) is never invented. This is why everything is big and chunky and looks like it was designed in the 50s. Instead nuclear technology advances rapidly and becomes part of many everyday household items (the cars, for example, are all nuclear powered). This is why everything has a 1950s retro sci-fi look (and because it evokes that weird 1950s vintage optimism mixed with the ever present threat of nuclear war). The syringes you see in the show are Stim-paks which are the game's major source of healing. This is one thing that I like in the show. It treats itself like it is the game. When you use a Stim-pak in the game, it heals every thing instantly. Even broken bones. Thus, when you see the Ghoul use it on the dog who is on on death's doorstep, the dog instantly gets up and is 100% healed. The Brotherhood of Steel is a faction that was born out of remnants of the US military based around a pseudo-religious, militaristic tech cult. That's probably kind of obvious given their organization, but there is a direct connection back to the pre-war era, and most of their tech is ex-military from that era, just salvaged and maintained. Depending on the game/location (the games are set in several different locations around the US, with the originals set on the west coast, and the newer games on the east coast, and New Vegas set in, well, Vegas) they can range from fascistic antagonists to chivalric allies depending on the chapter. Much like the medieval knights they're based on. The other big faction to get a mention was The Enclave. Where the BoS are remnants of the US military, The Enclave are the remnants of the US government along with anyone else they deemed worthy of surviving the apocalypse - the best and brightest of science and industry. They're a tad... elitist, as you can probably imagine, looking down on most of the other survivors, and preferring to interact and manipulate events from the shadows or a distance. Unlike the BoS who focus on collecting and preserving old world tech, The Enclave continued to innovate and advance. Stimpaks, the thing Lucy injects herself with, are the main healing item in the game. So you'll see a bit of video game logic here where a shot will cure any basic wound. And unlike a bunch of other video game adaptations, this show is actually considered canon within the same world as the games. So that's just kinda neat.

The Phone you mentioned on their arm is referred to as a "Pip Boy". Think of it as a wrist computer. It is how the games allowed you to do things such as check your stats, health, radiation levels, experience points/level progression and active/completed/failed quests. In Fallout 3+ it added a flashlight function, became how you can change your inventory (clothing, armor, weapons etc), it functioned as a radio, etc. They are specific to the Vaults and includes the ability to open the vault doors. Hence why Maximus carries that big bag instead of the guy wearing the power armor. @@Sessis I'd wait for after season 1 at least. There's some hints for a fact in a later episodes regarding Vaults. I'm unsure if they'll ever explain it in much detail in the show but there's some things that they do and say that allow you to put it together. Spoiler for when you're through season 1 (don't expand / read further until then): Basically, the majority of vaults are social experiments of sorts. The majority of them ended badly and in the games you typically stumble upon the remains of them and can hack into the computers and read logs, or look at the environmental storytelling to figure out what happened there. For example, the fact that vault 31, 32 and 33 are connected is unique and something the players did not see before either (just like the story revelations of the show, which are pretty big). Initially it was assumed that this was their vaults experiment, but of course that gets somewhat rebuked once we learn the truth about vault 31.

Ok, really thinking of unsubscribing now. This is the second Fallout episode without a Sessis-Schei**e in it ;) I expected it really at least when the dog was injured.

i am always amazed that people always get the most upset when a animal is injured or killed and feels nothing for the i dont know 12 people that were just murdered in the town lol No No not the dog but its totally fine to see 12 people getting blown in half or murdered lol i dont get it !

I think for me the people to some extent are actors, an while I do feel for them and quite strongly at time. It’s different with animals in that they can’t really act the way a human can or. Idk their performances just hits differently for me personally, feels more like reality. Maybe because I saw my dog get deadly injured infront of me and that has left a rather big impact/trauma behind. Plus the plot of the show has very intentionally built up a relationship to the dog compared to the random village people who we’ve not established any connection with 🤷♀️
