Kinda quick to judge Tom's character it seemed right from the beginning when the best stories come from character's growth thru the movie. Good reaction still

Your questions about the White House made me start digging, and I actually learned quite a bit!. It turns out that the stadium only isolated the central portion of the White House. This is the part of the structure commonly seen in pictures and it's what almost everyone -- even U.S. citizens -- thinks of as "The White House." However, it excludes the East and West Wings, which look to have been squashed by the stadium (or maybe are on the outside of it). The West Wing is a bunch of office space where the day-to-day work of governing is done, so that's where the Oval Office is too -- not in the middle -- so the movie got that whole part with the bunker all wrong!

I’m pretty sure I mentioned this to you before, but as a kid, this movie scared the hell out of me! Not because of Sid’s toy creations, but when Rex first shows up. He jumped down and he let out his loud roar at the camera. That traumatized me as a kid.

This is the movie I have watched more than any other. Last time I counted was 134, and that was in the late 1980s when I was still a young kid. I am in my mid 40s now. I have watched it more times since then. :) 80s music indeed has something special. I can't figure out what, but it is my favorite. Bill Murray's character was indeed a liar. I hate lies more than anything else in life. Partly due to being raised among liars who made my life impossible. I hate liars. But because it is a movie, I do forgive him. One could say the lies he said during the test were part of the test, so...yeah. His general character annoyed me a lot, when I was a kid. Like..a lot. Not enough to ruin the movie for me. Over the years I got used to him and see him as a character that is definitely not me, but he is a nice guy, just different. BTW, his attitude in her place when she was possessed, it was humor/sarcasm. He wasn't being a creepy guy. :) And the kiss was more of affection and he was worried about her. It's just his way of dealing with things. Yes indeed, busting makes everyone feel good. :) Good reaction, 2 out of 2 so far. I am glad I subbed. Neither the movie of Bill's character is for everyone so nothing wrong with not loving it/him/them.

Hey, Sessis! I absolutely love this movie! The fusion of both casts and the juggling of so many moving parts was near virtuosic! I'm so glad you saw THE ROGUE CUT! Returning Anna Paquin's Rogue back into the fold for a phenomenal action sequence at the X mansion in which Magneto and Charles really cut loose barely getting away with their lives from the Sentinels while inadvertently exposing their location is so vital to the story, it's a wonder it got removed! I rank this film higher than X2 because it came closer to approximating its comic book inspiration despite the "Days of Future Past" source material being a greater level of difficulty to adapt than "God Loves, Man Kills". I always give the X films latitude with respect to comic accuracy because they continue laying track for a locomotive that already left the station. Despite some unavoidable relationship and plot changes, this adaptation really captures the spirit of the Claremont era. The powerful duality of Charles and Erik remains the core of these films and you get a double dose of it here: as young antagonists making a temporary alliance and as weary, regretful veterans reconciling while facing extinction. JLaw's Mystique remains the moral fulcrum, Evan Peters' Quicksilver delivers a bravura showpiece stunt and Hugh Jackman's Wolverine gets to play in the same sandbox with the kids! The dystopic future sequence is particularly horrific apocalyptically presenting the deaths of iconic characters. New talent is showcased in that thrilling trademark style of powers used in concert with Blink's use of portals being an amazing highlight! Just like the use of the Cuban Missile Crisis in "First Class", "Future Past" also cleverly blends history into the mix with Nixon, the JFK assassination and the Zapruder-like footage of the Parisian incident. The dangling plot thread of Mystique-Stryker goes nowhere leaving Wolverine's story between now and "Apocalypse" open to speculation and the utopian ending that reunites the original cast leaves their parallel 21st-century adventures open to speculation. However, there's no shortage of X foes like Mr. Sinister, the Brood, Sauron, Bastion, Selene, Exodus, Proteus, Reavers, etc. that could have come into play and plenty of unresolved tension between Erik and Charles that could have easily flared up providing fodder for numerous exploits. The speculation is part of the fun! Trask wasn't bigoted by describing the mutants as a different species. They are and their taxonomic nomenclature in the comics is HOMO SUPERIOR. Charles transferred his consciousness to the body of the brain-dead coma patient who was the subject of his ethics class in which he was teleconferencing with Moira MacTaggart in "X3: The Last Stand". In the end-credit scene for that movie, he awakens in that body to the surprise of Moira, the X-Men's human ally! The brain-dead body Charles inhabits is that of his twin brother. This is not mentioned in the movie but comic readers recognized the plot. Henceforth, when you see Stewart Xavier you can subscribe to the twin rationale for having the same face or just assume he is projecting the Stewart face to others for the sake of familiarity. You also forgot to watch the end-credit scene for this movie which sets up "X-Men: Apocalypse" set in 1983. It is advisable to see the young cast movies back-to-back-to-back for narrative clarity. "First Class" is set in 1962, "Future Past" in 1973, "Apocalypse" in 1983 and "Dark Phoenix" in 1992. X-MEN TIMELINES: Egypt --> 1845 --> Nagasaki --> First Class --> DOFP --> Origins ------------------------------------------------> X1 --> X2 --> X3 --> Wolverine -------> New Mutants -----------------> DOFP Utopia Egypt --> 1845 --> Nagasaki --> First Class --> DOFP ----------------> Apocalypse --> Dark Phoenix ------------------------------------------------> Deadpool --> Deadpool 2 ------------------> Logan Egypt --> 1845 --> Nagasaki --> First Class --> DOFP -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------> DOFP Dystopia I highly recommend NOT watching the films in release order! Follow this RECOMMENDED ORDER instead which keeps the multiple timelines orderly and ends the franchise with two strong entries. RECOMMENDED VIEWING ORDER: X-Men X2: X-Men United X3: The Last Stand X-Men Origins: Wolverine X-Men: First Class The Wolverine: Extended Cut X-Men: Days of Future Past: The Rogue Cut X-Men: Apocalypse X-Men: Dark Phoenix Deadpool New Mutants Logan Deadpool 2 Deadpool & Wolverine

It wasn't explained in the movies but in the comics Charles is able to transfer his consciousness if his body is about to die. In X3 the scene where Charles is teaching and you see that unconscious guy lying in the bed that was Charles brother. When he faced Jean he transfered his consciousness to the unconscious guy and that's what saved him

What Bolivar Trask in his conversation with Striker meant was, that mutants could have become a common enemy for humans and end wars between humans by fighting that common enemy, the replacement, the extinction. Actually his name is a reference to Simon Bolivar, the south American independence leader. He wanted to create a South American union post Spanish colony based on the common language and culture. The Great Homeland (maybe including Mexico too) of course he was not a g3nocide but the name of Bolivar Trask makes reference to that union dream.

20:08 I’m just imagining you as a gentle giant and saying that line to the prisoners who are wrongfully imprisoned for crimes they did not commit. Like a giantess who’s actually caring and understanding to the little people and the infrastructure of their city, not an aggressive one. In fact, if that were to be the case, I would choose you as my giantess hero protecting me whenever I feel alone. 🥹🥹🥹

@@Sessis If that sounded weird and creepy I apologize, but that’s what I’m picturing. I enjoy giantess who are caring for the normal citizens, not an evil destructive one. Where are the giantesses who are gentle, caring and kind to the little people?

Good reaction. Obviously you missed things that were a thing before you were born. I mean I assume you were not alive in the 1980s. I don't know how old you are, but you look young. Nothing wrong with not knowing these things. Not sure why some other people were a bit too negative about that. It's silly to complain about it. First time I am watching a reaction of yours, but you seem to be pretty clever and quick witted. Always a nice change. Thanks for the reaction and yes I realize this is an older video.
