I think Cooper’s family is in an executives vault, frozen. Bud’s brain mentionsed that vault 31 and his buds are middle managers. Barb is clearly way up in the vault-tec hierarchy. I’d say Bud opted for robotic immortality to watch over his BB project, but all the other upper management probably aren’t waking up until civilization officially returns to the surface. What’s interesting is that in the “war room” flashback, Buds’ smile goes away once the topic of experimental vaults comes up. After Barb says “no one needs to know” 11:10 and looks at Bud, it cuts to Bud and he doesn’t look happy any more. Same when the other executives start making stupid vault suggestions. He listens almost in stunned silence. Is it possible that he’s drunk the kool-aid on the end of the world but sincerely wanted the vaults to be the future of humanity?

The cryo-pods were not exclusive to Vault-Tec, so my guess is that Moldaver probably was able to get into a pod somewhere else. As for Barb, Cooper's wife, my guess is that she is much, much higher in the corporation. At first, I thought she might have been the senior executive assistant to the Vault-Tec's president/CEO. Another commentor on a different reaction channel said she might be a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). However, when in the flashback Miss Williams (later known as Moldaver) tells Cooper that his wife's "division" swooped in and bought up every company that she (Williams/Moldaver) had ever worked at, I'm thinking that Barb was in charge of some kind of research and development acquisitions department. I think that Max had revered the Brotherhood after being rescued by one of the Knights. However, after years of poor treatment by the clerics and other aspirants, and especially after the incident with Titus, Max began to be disillusioned. If you look at his face/expression at the ending scene, he has that conflict of disillusionment and need for revenge.

6:08 that car is a real-life Messerschmitt KR200, very similar to a car model that we can see in games. in season two Norm will be saved by Betty, who sends him away from Vault 33 to find a replacement for the water chip. He will want to be accompanied by Chet and along the way two other companions will be added: Thaddeus and the chicken-loving doctor/charlatan

Note for Aaron. Getting Fallout 3 to run is a bit tricky. Runs great on a steam deck no mods. But on modern pcs it takes a mod or 2 to get it to run. Worth it. I'm at the end of my fallout 3 run myself.

All the ideas mentioned in the meeting are all vaults that exist in the series. Vault 27, only mentioned in the games. Vault 51, in Fallout 76. Vault 87 and Vault 108, in Fallout 3. Vault 75, in Fallout 4.

The twists in this finale were incredibly well written. So excited for S2 and I'm glad there's finally a TV show based off a game which is made with thought and effort instead of just a cash grab.

I just started Fallout 3 (finally!) after watching this. I've owned it for a year or more, but hadn't gotten around to it, so I was glad the show gave me the push I needed! Note to anyone who does decide to start there - I started out as a shooter build, but immediately went back and restarted/restatted as soon as I got to the surface. If you don't like needing to conserve ammo, a melee build is still a lot of fun, at least so far! (Granted I haven't explored much beyond the first settlement yet). I am not great at shooting games and tend to "pray and spray", so the ammo limitations made the entry game extremely stressful for me. Running around with a baseball bat is a lot more enjoyable XD

Since this show takes place after the events of the games so far and by the looks of it season 2 will include a lot of New Vegas, i would recommend Aaron to play New Vegas just to get some background lore.

What's cool is everyone of the ideas they had for the vaults are exactly what u find in the games, over crowded, super mutant immigrant soldiers, drugs in the air , kids separated and killed before adulthood

Most people seem to agree that The 3 main characters are based on karma and the karma system in the game. Lucy is Good, Maximus is neutral, and the Ghoul is bad(Karma wise, not necessarily evil)

Would love to watch one of you guys play/livestream the 3d fallout games! This show was a fantastic ride, lets hope Bethesda learned their lessons with Starfield for Fallout 5.

Thank you for these reactions! Speaking of the old games: Personally it's neigh on impossible for me to launch Fallout 3 at the moment. I've tried about 30 different online suggestions for solutions, like installing a mod that makes the game believe you have an old graphics card, to antivirus settings and the usual "run as admin", to no avail. The explanation that seems most plausible atm is that new nVidia and AMD driver are incompatible with many old games. Good luck to you!

the person who directed this show needs to do Bioshock next. that would be incredible. Rapture obviously, not the sky city.

Really looking forward to seeing what they do with New Vegas. Will we see some more familiar characters like The King? Will the strip be operational like in the game or will it be ruins? Will we eventually see the Boomers? Is there anything remaining of Caesars Legion?

Barb isn't in Vault 31. She is Upper Management. Vault 31 is for Junior Executives, middle management. Barb will be somewhere more important, quite possibly in Vegas.

Big MT was a Facility in the mountains east of New Vegas that housed some very intelligent people, not gonna spoil it but they manufactured lots of shit for weapons testing, biological enhancements and more futuristic tech. Rob-Co dude was Mr House, the guy in Charge of New Vegas and as a little Easter egg the passcode to start up the Cold Fusion reactor was the date the first Fallout game released. October 10th 1997 (101097) Quite a few Easter eggs in that Executive meeting alone but I'm not pointing all of them out. Also in case anyone is wondering why some Vaults were reaching into the North on Vault Tecs map, America had annexed Canada sometime before the great war (I think like 10 to 15 years beforehand) and claimed a majority of the land as U.S territory. (for its resources) If anyone has listened to the radio bits in F76 for Armor Ace and The Power Patrol, they are references to the US forces in a G.I Joe style format as propaganda for the US citizens. The Yukon 5 are branded as evil terrorists in the Armor Ace stuff but in reality they were the Canadian Resistance, the militia groups made up of Canadian Civilians and the last of their Military forces trying to push the US out of their occupation.
