mods add basicly infinite replayability, they do it on purpose so you need to get a newer game and a newer computer, they don't want you to play the settler mod, they want you to buy fallout 4, they did the same with gta iv

Mods for fallout 3 have always been jankey so I was just thinking I did something to break it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game, fose and my mod list multiple times trying to fix it and it only occurred to me a few weeks ago that the update must have broke it. There's a fix on Nexus that forces the last version of FO3 to run instead of a new version, and it's coupled with the 4gb fix along with some other fixes. Works great, though the FOSE. exe link is no longer valid; instead the regular game icon takes the game to FOSE-enabled game files.

I downloaded Encounter Zone Respawn Control Mod which will reset the Zone where I want, and I need to wait 3 in game days, but I couldn't get Fose to work, and watching your video, EVERYTHING IS PERFECTLY FINE! Thank you very very much for your help! Keep up the good work!

Wait never mind, now the game just crashes on startup. I've done everything ever to fix it, and nothing works. Just gets to the "please stand by" screen and then immediately CTDs...

Here's a few things you could try: disable all your mods and see if that's causing the crash, restart your computer (that worked for me earlier today), and make sure you have the intel bypass mod - www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/17209/

You're a legend. Even though I ran the patcher to downgrade, and it said I had version .03, it wouldn't launch with the fose launcher. I had the steam version. I left the "falloutlauncherSteam.exe" and just replaced the "fallout3.exe". I have no idea if that mattered. But whatever, it's working now. Thank you.

Thank you so much. Weird enough the downgrader from Nexus didn't work. Even when exe version was showing the needed version fose would give out an error. Your files worked perfectly. After the show I wanted to re-visit Fallout 3. Was surprized to see the update on Steam and the error. Haven't touched the game for years. lol I think the last time I've played it GfWL was still up and running
