I'm really confused about the pillar glitch. How do you get it to group to things anytime I set a pillar down it never attaches to anything nd it just moves the pillar itself. Am I doing something wrong.

Do shop emporiums work with the rug glitch on the latest update? Ive been trying to use the counter emporium in Starlight Drive-in but it doesn’t work.

I liked this video a lot. Lots of utility, here. I’m a little confused though. The rug glitch doesn’t use group select. You set an unsnappable object on a rug. Then select the rug, without holding down X, and place. Group selecting while attempting to do the rug glitch can backfire. I think this seems like a modified pillar glitch. You could use other things to substitute for the rugs. One thing i have used that i saw in a video is the long floor conduit. Basically, replace the rugs with a floor conduit. Am i missing something? Is there a benefit to using the rugsn

The conduit is a good option too. Lots of builders prefer it I know. As I said to another commenter these videos could really be the best part of an hour. There is a ton of complexity and options you could demonstrate. I never planned to make this type of video, I thought it had all been said and done many times. But some viewers asked me to try to sum things up in shorter simpler vids. It was the case a lot of new players and casual players want to know what these techniques were but don't want to sit through what one viewer described to me as a slow boring 45min lecture. So I took a stab at seeing how concisely I could put the ideas across. I've never been completely happy with these vids and they took a ton of work to put together so I'm not sure I would do it all again if I was to go back in time. Overall a lot of people seem to have liked them and said it helped them a lot, so I'm glad to have helped. Even though they were by far my worst-performing videos and not worth the work in real terms. The utility they have provided to players makes me glad to have made them. It can't all be about the algorithm and watch time, sometimes it's just nice to try to help people. That all said I would encourage anyone who gets deeply into the building system and wants to know more, then definately go and watch the 45min deep dives from someone like schooled zone etc. Thanks for watching and commenting.

I can see you made a high quality video, and I hope that eventually the view count reflects that. This video was great, and helped to clear some things up. I’ve watched several Skooled Zone videos, and i can agree that a 20-40 minute video isn’t always good. Something like this one, short and sweet, worked for me. I will mention that Skooled Zone had a structure to his build series, with less complex, to more complex techniques. It’s nice to have some really complex and hard to grasp videos, because there’s a foundation, if one takes the time.

I've been playing a bunch of fallout 76 and came back to 4 yesterday and man not being able to use a flamethrower trap merge glitch or a pressure plate merge glitch just kinda makes me sad?

Considering how both games share an engine and many assets, I always find it surprising how jarringly different the two games can feel sometimes. So the rug moves through items and the pillar lowers items so it would depend on exactly what you are trying to accomplish.

Works on all formats. Just hold down the select button and everything will be highlighted.
