Fallout New Vegas came out relatively soon after Fallout 3, using the same engine and assets but improving on them. ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT. I WISH that this model would be used more often, rather than taking decades and reinventing the wheel every single time. And they allowed a different studio to provide it as well. I remain excited for TESVI because I don't think it will suffer from some of the same issues that Starfield did. My biggest issue with Starfield was the unsatisfying combat and the numerous, small, procedurally generated gameplay spaces that all felt like the same thing. If they go back to having one large, hand-crafted world for TESVI and FO5, I think i will be much more happy than I was with Starfield.

You're aware that New Vegas wasn't a perfect game, right? It's amazing but I wouldn't go that far. One, nobody from the original team is ever coming back, and Obsidian hasn't made a game since the Outerworlds. Imagine this…the beginning cutscene slowly fades in, we see an old decrepit radio as it slowly sparks to life. “I’m so lonesome I could cry” by Elvis Presley starts playing as it slowly zooms out, revealing some kind of abandoned, destroyed bedroom, there are decrepit suit cases sprawled about the floor, and the ancient skeletons of once living people, the skeletons still dressed in the old dirtied, tattered clothing of prewar times. As the song plays, the camera slowly zooms out revealing the room has a giant hole in it’s wall. We zoom out of that hole to reveal that we were in some kind of destroyed, abandoned hotel. We zoom out more, the camera now moving over open water. Once the camera finally zooms out all the way, we’re looking at a dark, rainy place, with very slight signs of light shining through the dark clouds above, and we see….the town of Hilo Hawai’i, in ruins, but signs of life, as if people were trying to repurpose the decimated town for a settlement.

I love fallout but I am far from thoughts about fallout 5. For one its a long ways off and we all want TES6 desperately. Secondlt we have Fallout London, Fallout 4 remaster, Fallout TV show, and finally 76 is FINALLY getting not one but 2 story dlc’s again. The one coming later this year is another massive update like Wastelanders was. There is also apparently a leaked fallout 3 remaster plan. So TES6 and Starfield will keep us more than preoccupied until then.

And, the score boards have been reworked making it a little less tedious so that's a SCORE. I've said this in other comments before, but I'm pretty sure the Atlantic City expansion is less of a stand alone piece of content and more of a building block/ framework for the rest of 76's future content. Instead of more quests and locations taking up Appalachia, they'll be at AC to some what cut down on how many computers and consoles will explode with the addition of more content.

Todd Howard is the only one who commented correctly about the tone of Fallout. The others seemed vague or just all over the place. You need a stark duality between a naive, funny, happy vision of what it's like leaving the vault, how they're going to save the world and bring back the Garden of Eden. And then reality slaps them in the face and you have to become a "wastelander" to survive. To the point that even the good guys have their dark side. And even the bad guys are trying to save the world. Fallout always plays on that contrast in ways both light-hearted and extremely heavy.

Fallout 4 was brilliant, not so much 76 but I wouldn't consider that a real fallout game. Starfield wasn't that bad, didn't hit the mark but was still a decent game

As much as I'm a TES fan I don't think it would lend itself to a series as well as fallout. Elder scrolls lore can be pretty convoluted, and it might be too much to introduce to a casual audience. Also the budget for an elder scrolls series would probably have to be much higher with all the magic and creatures that would require a lot more special effects. I hope I'm wrong though. If they did make one I'd love it to take place during the great war.

My expectations for the TV show are not high. We've seen so many adaptations from games over the years and only few out of hundreds have succeeded. I wish the TV show the best of course. Man it'd be awesome if handled correctly.

@@griimrose It's called statistical mathematics and vectors. You can make reasonably probable predictions based on previous track records and deduce from that what is probable. For instance if I've seen 50 people throw themselves to a woodchipper and they've turned into gore, I can deduce from that observation that it is probably not a good idea to throw yourself into a woodchipper. A less than 4% success rate is a reasonably small sample size for me to deduce that in all probasbility, over 96% to be exact, the product will be bad. It's just maths mate, don't get mad about it.

Honestly, at this point, developers and publishers should just hire another set of team to develop multiple franchises at the same time if they are already well established. Just because you do one game doesn't mean your existing fans also like that. I enjoyed Elder Scrolls, but I would prefer Fallout over it. Same with the case of prefering a sequel to Cyberpunk rather than getting a new Witcher game. We're probably looking at more than 10 years of wait if you're in the same boat as me.

My top pics for what I want to see, like if you agree: New environment- underwater areas expanded. Maybe an underwater vault that specialized in using the FEV to change sea-creatures. New faction- vault tech (I want to find out some of those evil executives survived!) New weapon- A small remote-control robot that we can use to explore ahead of us, and that we can detonate! Character- Not sure but a properly fleshed out romance with the ability to kiss would be nice. Creature- Something big, like really really big. Bigger than a behemoth, bigger than a mirlurk queen. A giant Kraken would be cool, or maybe some kind of giant mutated plant/fungal colony that has taken over a part of the map.

The TV series is an astounding success and I think it definitely brings back the legend that is Lord of the rings in terms of construction of characters, the show is a brilliant representation of when you do all of the things right!

The Elder Scrolls series, is BGS's wheelhouse. So its quite reasonable to expect TES 6 to be great. And you'd think with how BGS has expanded with a lot more employees, that they would be able to make two games at the same time. TES 6 and Fallout 5. Bethesda could make an absolute killing! A 360 rebound, with many people. IF they succeed at making those two games great, IN A TIMELY MANNER. I think Bethesda should commit to making those two games to be ready. Four years from now MAX. Bethesda's old and current fans will be really happy if that works!
