Started playing fallout 76 for the first time a few days ago, with the black Friday sale, and I am absolutely loving it! The community is so awesome, helpful, and understanding and your videos have been helping me out a lot, even though they may not apply to me (a level 20 player.) Unfortunately, given the reputation fallout 76 has, most of my friends won't even consider buying the game and so I'm left to go it alone, making your videos doubly helpful. I just wanted to thank you for putting in the time and effort you do for your videos and for helping people like me, as well as veterans, with tips, tricks, testing, and advice on the game.

I think part of the reason the community is so nice is that it feels like there’s barely any of us left(even though Xbox statistics show different) so it’s like we feel the need to keep our little community stable amongst the groups of people who played it a week after beta and never touched it again.

Beth needs to separate the BOS items into the Fort Atlas vault instead of lumping all that crap into one as they have done. Most of us have worked our caps off getting the required gold bullion for the SS armor not to mention the scripts need to upgrade them so, at this point in time I highly doubt that I will pursue the BOS armor.

I do agree with you it should have been sold by BOS but on my new second I am going with BOS armor because I have not gotten an it seem most damage delt unless ghouls or scorched beast is ballistic yes some super mutants do energy but most use melee or slug weapons

@@wabantom1 I am not sure but it seems like when I have my Fireproof perk equiped I take less damage from scorch beast and queen and I am in Ultracite power armor stats are Blist is 455 energy is 305 rads is 403 so I am not sure what the damage is i am going try to look it up

the recon have jet pack sure but the recon armor cant be crafted legendary contrary to the SS armor...( but you can very rare drop it ) by crafting you get more chance and control over what you get than doing a 1 ops per day hoping to get an armor piece , legendery , with 3 star , with good effect... good luck lol

Secret Service armor is the best in the game and I would prefer it to stay that way since it took me 2 months to get everything for it including the jetpack and mods.

The best best best armor in the game. is Chinese stealth. toss on what rads and basically 1300RR you take no rad damage. and you can crouch in a room full of lvl 100 supermutants, kill all of them in seconds, and take no damage, cause the fools cant see you. for events, toss on any PA a vamp tesla and G2G

You forgot to mention the most important distinguishing factor - you can craft secret service armor with legendary modules. So no, you won’t be rolling recon armor, unless they change it. You might get lucky with a purveyor or quest drop once you unlock it, otherwise you’re going to be using crafted nonlegendary recon armor vs secret service, unless you pray and are blessed by RNJesus.

I got the secret service chest piece plans and never crafted one I wanted to use. But once I had the blueprint I have gotten pretty good drops and I probably won't be crafting anymore SS armor. I'll let my drops pick. So far my drop RNG has been better than crafting

Having both and fully modded and 3 star legendary versions I would say that it doesn't mater that much. At the end game it's nice to be able to switch things up a bit as the BOS recon looks a lot more bad a22 to wear. But as a character looking to get their first set I think the SS armour is the way to go first.

Yeah, I agree. Secret Service can look good with some paints, like camo and red viper. But BOS Recon looks good on it's own.

Less stress and I could potentially unlock the rest of the gear doing daily ops along the the side. I love this game, it's just starting to become a second Full time job and I'm considered an essential worker so I haven't had the luxury of quarantine like many others.

Fresh 80 player. I notice also with DR and ER, the most annoying enemies are robots and super mutants, both using energy most of the time and tanky. And the DR tanky enemies are mainly melee based creatures like radscorps, cryptids, etc. The humans and ghouls are squishy

I play on both the Series X and the PS5 (because of my friends). I will give a slight nod to the Series X, while the load times are much better on both systems the Series X is a few seconds faster when fast traveling/loading. No more going to the kitchen to grab a snack while I wait to fast travel somewhere. There might be other benefits besides load times but that’s what I immediately noticed. Enjoy your gaming!

This is 10 months out from when you first posted this, but I haven't seen an update. The Brotherhood Recon Armor is on sale with Minerva this weekend. Can you hopefully explain why the Brotherhood Recon helmet costs 2000 gold which is 500 more than the chest piece? I'm going crazy trying to justify spending that much without knowing a bit more about it.

Personal Preference Warning! I would be all about the Recon Armor if it had the legendary effects when crafting, it’s more aesthetically pleasing to me. The SS seems so plain. With that said I’ll be rocking the SS armor strictly for the legendary effects.

3:28 "You're not going to be running into a nuke zone anyways.." Being a Unarmed build I rarely use power armor and still go into nuke zones with a Vanguards SS armor set + What Rads perk card with 2 stars and it's fine. Just leaving the earl fight you're put into a nuke zone and with the queen often you fight just outside of it. I'm taking about 15-17 rads a sec which is pretty easy to counter with Radaway.

I can't help but offer a bit of potentially Constructive criticism. As you're surely well aware, despite how much mamy would like to deny it, aesthetics are very much relevant in any game...and arguably, particularily relevant in fo76 While I realize that the goal of your video was primarily to deliver stats and information regarding the differences between SS and Recon armour, I suggest that in the future, you might consider delivering the same information while, say, briefly Showing he BoS recon armpur, even briefly...it would not only be easy to do, but I assure you it would provide a more informative and enjoyable expierence for the Viewer ;) I am very well aware of the fact that an overview of the LOOK of SS and NoS Recon armour is only a click away, and has been/is provided by countless websites and other reciews on yputube. I just believe that it would be mutually beneficial (in this highly competitive landscape) to include both informative/statistical AND aesthitic/visual components in the videos you post. Otherwise, wonderful work brother. Thanknyou for the information. ;)

I'm running at 4k so that probably helps. High textures and lighting. Shadows at medium and low distance. Medium water.

Set your quality setting to medium or low first, and that will automatically change your draw distances to a level which will help manage fps. And then change the settings to what I have. I have a rtx 2080 and usually maintain above 60 but there will always be drops in areas like Harper's ferry and other big cities

Secret service is still the best especially if you play bloodied buiilds and need to control your rad levels. SS armor already has so much diminishing returns in dr that its not worth it to get more. You get like 1% damage reduction in the brotherhood armor compaired to ss. Apart from that almost every really dangerous damage in the game is a special damage type like the energy laser from robots, fire rings from bats or poison from mire lurk queens. Best in Slot would be something like secret service unyielding +3 all stats , 25 rad or poison resist 20% weight reduction of weapons or ammo.

Bloodied still the best in terms of damage. Low health and vampires competes with it. Full health and anti armour is a solid choice.

It was watching your vids that helped me get my secret service armor. I managed to get lucky and got a full set of bolstering 3 star secret service and my dr and er is in the 600s easily somtimes it reaches the 700s.
