Making walls is my favorite part of Fallout 76 building. I do full blow junk walls at my camps as well. I tend to go a lot junkier, you go a bit more symmetrical, works well. For mine I try and not repeat anything in a section of wall. Very awesome build and tips for new builders, or people who don't think you can do anything with 76's building mechanics.

It’s really not “good” to everyone. I tried to come back after WL and it’s still buggy beyond belief. -My own turrets still regularly attack each other... still! -Textures still struggle to properly load, sometimes they never properly load in certain areas... -Hitboxes, damage, and vats are still off. Ive had proximity mines go off without a single enemy nearby, killing me in the process... -Exiting a cooking or crafting auto cancels if you move at all... which is just weird. And now... not only was the game initially $60 but it has a $100 year sub to access what’s essentially single player. It has a rotating micro trans shop. And they’re planning to add a battle pass you can pay to skip. So really, you guys saying it’s good now because they added NPCs that don’t even work properly.... that’s not true. It’s not good. It’s a scam and a broken scam at that.

Hey I'm gonna share my current camp I'm working on. I call it "Brawl Mart", raider supply superstore. It's not done yet but it's going to be surrounded by junk walls. Some of my favorites are "punji board on the red rocket gas sign" and "guard post on perimeter wall frame + red rocket sign". I definitely need the cement tire wall though.

Btw, agreed about the need for crates. I really like the nukashine kegs because I've been begging for barrels but I think you're limited to 4.

I think the reason you couldn't snap in that spot at the beginning is because, even though it let you "remove it", the catwalk with the stairs was still there. I had the same problem in my camp the other day. I removed a foundation piece and when I tried to put stuff where it was, it told me I couldn't. I just altered my build to leave that bit out. When I came back later after logging off, the foundation piece that I had removed was sitting there.

As a fellow barricade builder, I keep waiting for you to implement news stands, cola machines, metal shelving, and definitely the dumpster into your barricades! You're sleeping on some resources that can look incredible in a junk wall when integrated properly!

I personally never liked the way they look - in Fallout 4/the Creation Kit you can turn them on their side, bury them into the ground etc - in 76 it just doesn't have the same flexibility, so those pieces never (to me) look enough like barricades.

One of the things I'd like to have in Wastelanders (that I already know is a pipe dream) is Settlers. I'd like to be able to recruit 1 or 2 settlers that you can keep at your camp permanently, and they'd give buffs to crop speeds when they're assigned to them. Let you dress them up and give them weapons to help defend your camp. I think that'd be really nice. I also hope Wastelanders will bring along a buff to Stash capacity and Camp build limits, along with free items for our camps, But honestly, I really doubt they're going to bother with that, considering Fallout 1st is a thing. I'd sooner believe they'd add those things to Fallout 1st than give us anything free in Wastelanders besides the story...

@@JesusCheeseburger I know, I'd like Settlers to be added as optional NPCs at your camp, like Collectortrons and Fertilizer Brahmin. Settlers could be friendly recruits if you side with the Settlers or Slaves if you side with the Raiders. Maybe a side quest to obtain shock collars from the prison to "recruit" them as a raider.

@@SniperFoxGaming90 They do have Allies coming. Idk if you can dress them up or not but they hang out at your camp and guard it. I think they do specific things. Like I think the guy they revealed is an alcohol vendor if you build his stand at your camp.

Ive always wanted to build a camp that i basically a post-war camp (like a real camp not a C.A.M.P) that is surrounded in high junk walls like the one in the live action trailer But u made low junk walls. Could you make some high junk walls?

The budget itself "increases" as you level up as the amount of resources needed to build structures also affect how much of the budget is used, and the higher your level the less resources used and with Contractor maxed you can build a lot more. I tested it out around level 72-4 and noticed I could build slightly more (I could only make a rug before the limit was reached but after leveling up I could build two walls and a table before he game said no).

I test tire walls but stack tires are best way to built like a tower. It was waste concrete and rubber 😆

I really don't understand why Bethesda insists on putting restrictions on placing items (i.e. snap order or cant have objects overlap). If it's a "realism" thing, it doesn't make sense as the majority of player camps i see is nothing but poorly snapped floating platforms. Maybe it's a technical design thing i don't understand. Either way, i wish free placing would be an option.

76 just needs to take the training wheels off already. Give the players a bunch of weird items, with the potential to make a really weird fucking camp. It’s their small area, let them do what the want with it without holding their hands
