Just want to point out we are scared of the umunisms for a reason. They have killed more people than WW2. And most of those people were their own citizens. I grew up with Vietnamese refugees who fled Vietnam after if fell. They were all educated. Most lawyers, doctors, and teachers. Those were the first ones shot when north Vietnam took over. Trust me there is a reason people don't like that ideology.

There is a reason people fear the misms. Try talking to the folks who lived in that environment. I grew up with some and have studied history. They have offed more folks than Germany in the 40s. Most of them their own citizens. And I heard the first hand accounts from refugees as a kid. The fact people today don't realize how dangerous people who believe that stuff is worries me. When she says one of the good vaults, she means one of the vaults where the residents aren't being experimented on. Most of the vaults weren't actually made for the purpose of preserving humanity.

During the ceremony you said "Just copy what your neighbor is doing" I said that is basically a Catholic Mass. The rituals and procedures during mass is basically the same. If you haven't been in one just do what everyone does and next week it it is still the same procedures. I went to a service after not going for a decade and after doing a few procedures everything came back to me on what to do. Also there is some Catholic ritual in the show. Smearing ash on the forehead is like Ash Wednesday and drinking the blood for Shady Sands is like drinking the blood of Christ. In this case symbolic blood.

Yay, good job looking at the Kolmanskop satellite views. The big stranded ship is also visible near there, called the Eduard Bohlen. I have yet to pinpoint chicken f***er farm though.

Thank you. The Kolmanskop was an easy Google search. I featured the shipwreck in my Episode 2 react because I saw Ella Purnell on a talk show mention it was filmed on location. That was fascinating. As for the chicken farm, after searching for Episode 6 locations, I think it may have been shot in Elisabeth Bay, SouthxSouthwest of Kolmanskop right on the ocean. GPS 26°55'02"S 15°11'09"E Check it out and tell me what you think.

@@kanpai_ky Yeah that looks about right. Will have to look at the wall Maximus damages again to see the shape. I actually live about a 15 hour drive south of there, but have never been up there. Kolmanskop is very popular with photographers. Perhaps a road trip is in order but nobody to go with at the moment. One day.

@@kanpai_ky Bleh, I'm not succeeding in matching the shot angles. Interesting that the mine closed in 1957, so in just ~60 years the place decayed to look like this. Very good choice of shooting location. According to Gareth Edwards it's actually cheaper to fly a whole crew to a place that looks right, than building sets, even digital.

"If you wanna skip the beverage pairing..." Ummmm WTF WHO is skipping the beer pairings? Raise your hand! So I can blast you away!! Anyways, great video. Your outfit in this was PERFECT. Your blonde hair with your blue shirt and headphones make you look like you're wearing the blue and yellow vault suit, sorta! Now The Ghoul is wearing Lucy's finger btw, I think that's the craziest small detail in this show. As usual, your editing is great. The google earth stuff is still so cool, thanks for adding that in. And all the clips you add in from other shows too. You mentioned that you just started and it's now 20 days later, but you're already one of the best in the reaction game. Keep this up! Watch some anime or something next, maybe react to some Star Wars stuff? I'm sure you've seen it all already, but maybe when The Acolyte or Visions Season 2 comes out, you can react to those.

Sorry, but I think that needs a slight correction/addition. The shots that were done in Utah was for the Brotherhood of Steel base, at Wendover Airfield, which I believe is considered to be in a desert (salt flats), but most of the desert shots for the show was filmed in Namibia, which I believe is also shown by the searches done in the reactions by @kanpai_ky. Quoting from TheCinemaholic': _"Shooting for the desert landscape and abandoned towns seen in the show takes place in Kolmanskop, within Nambia"_ (I quoted, so kept the spelling mistake for Namibia). _"Some of the desert sequences in the show are lensed in the badlands of Montana, likely in the Mixed Salt Desert Scrub Desert or the Gypsum Desert."_

You would not believe how many arguments that timeline created. Showing the fall of the NCR in 2277 is a bit of an issue considering the NCR was still a major power and involved in a war in Nevada in the 2280s in fallout New Vegas. So either it's a retcon or a mistake. This is the problem with Bethesda declaring the show is cannon with the games.

That’s really interesting! I just watched Timothy Cain’s Fallout TV show review and he brought up these points. He thought it was notable but is curious to see how and if that is dealt with in the upcoming season. Perhaps we have unreliable narration or different factions have accounted for time correctly/incorrectly. 2277 was the fall of Shady Sands, not the NCR. The NCR is a far larger organization than a single city. It even expands into Nevada.

@@gaelangaudette9576 then where are they. They covered pretty much all of southern California. Parts of Mexico and ad you said Nevada. They had a population of around a million+ citizens. So where are they? Where is the crimson caravan, gun runners, other trading trading companies? All we see is a handful of "reminates". In fact the observatory has a sign calling it NCR headquarters. You can't say they are still there if that's all that you see. They SHOULD be there. But they aren't.,.

Does it not occur to you that the nuking of Shady Sands would have an impact on a fairly wide radius around the initial blast zone and crater due to all of the nuclear fallout? In the areas surrounding the blast zone, things would basically be reset to square one.

And to be honest considering they still patrolled an irradiated town in new Vegas we should still see NCR troopers or rangers and around. Yeah people would stay away from shady sands but the towns around it would still be supported. This is a world with rad s and radaway. Remember.

7:14 Think about it a little longer... :) It's not the first time you have heard this word, and I don't mean the mention later in the episode by his wife. 19:39 More like recent history. Obviously usually you do not have any sort of knowledge about what happens outside of the vaults. Normally vaults do not have trapdoors from the surface leading into them, just like they are usually not connected to each other.

This isnt the future. Fallout is set in a world where America all but froze, culturally, in the 1950s. It's set during an alternate timeline that diverged from our own at some point during that decade.
