Just realised you are Arthur. Oscar worthy delivery Gopher 👌 Joined your faction... not easy for a minion to do otherwise.

It threw me for a loop, at first. I expected him to sound just like "let's play" Gopher, but he layered on some nobility to his delivery. By the way, I'm more than 100 hours in and still have quite a ways to go.

Fallout settlements would be a heck of a lot more fun if settlers would just at least stay by the walls and turrets you build for them.
@Del_SАй бұрын
I hope future instalments have at least an option for settlements to see more orders issued. We don't need full blown Sim Settlements style stuff, but like, maybe have a schedule for workers rather than assigned to a specific job. A couple people swapping around farming/guarding/downtime. Have it to allow some settlers to take shelter, and the others to act as guards with different orders. As they currently act would be most aggressive, actively hunting down a threat. Maybe they could be ordered to defend specific items or people, or just hold within the perimeter of the settlement, or just assist you/a turret in defending. It just feels a bit more realistic and fun that if there's a deathclaw wandering too close, that even the fairly well armed guards in heavy combat gear will hunker down and defend, rather than everyone rush out to fight it with a pipe pistol in their scavenger outfits.

Important word of warning for assigning settlers in Fallout London btw. In the settlements that aren't their own worldspace cell, so everything except Covent Garden, when you assign them it disconnects them from their assigned settlement, so you then have to assign them back to the settlement they are in. Also re-assigning them to a different task causes them to split their time doing both tasks. Also sometimes the Bridge settlers just wander off into the city for a while, but they usually come back. Oh and if you do eventually find Covent Garden and start making Supply lines, base the provisioner at Covent Garden so it works properly.

A double barrel one? That's kind of OP :)
@Del_SАй бұрын
That or wounding on a double barrel makes for a good SHTF weapon for close range through most of base FO4 and I'd assume it's going to be decent in FOLON too. Can be fairly light, about 15lbs for it and a handful of ammo.

One of the cool things about the London Bridge settlement is that you can attach Foundations to the sides of the bridge and build housing out over the water so you can put market stalls in the road.

For Melee builds, Rooted isn't as good if you aren't going for a VATS build, which needs a lot more Agility to be really good, so you can get Blitz. Slayer is awesome though.
@GophersVidsАй бұрын
Avoiding doing the VATS build for this play through. It's true that all the most powerful builds are VATS builds, but overall I prefer to play using it in moderate amounts but having it limited and less frequent than non VATS combat.

Rollercoaster of emotions on this one!! From the frustration of Beefy's restlessness to the success of your turret defense LOL But what exactly does it mean when he says, "Let's a have a butcher's"? I figure it means they want to have a "look" but... huh?
@jonasquinn7977Ай бұрын
It’s a shortened version of Cockney rhyming slang, it was originally “butcher’s hook” to rhyme with look but like most Cockney rhyming slang it got shortened to the point it’s indecipherable for anyone that doesn’t already know

@nicholascross3557Ай бұрын
It's actually the point. Cockney rhyming slang is a tribal identifier, as it were, those born and raised in it have no problem with something that can baffle outsiders. A Cockney might, while talking to a friend say, "So I sees this fella in an 'orrible whistle and titfer, 'ee 'ad me laughin' so 'ard I 'ad to sit on the apples 'for I falls over! Course, I gets on the dog to the trouble 'cos I know me saucepans'll love the pics of this septic." Whistle and flute = suit titfer = tit-for-tat = hat apples and pears = stairs dog and bone = phone trouble and strife = wife saucepan lid(s) = kid(s) septic tank = yank A few, like saying 'let's have a butchers' have entered general English but mostly it remains what it always was, an easy way to split the world into 'them' and 'us'.

Worth building a walkway between the two pylons so you can access the area near the hut without being irradiated. I also found the pylons a good place to build generators.

@Goatcha_MАй бұрын
Doesn't it cost like 100 caps to use though? Don't think Doug can afford that yet. BTW Gopher if you are reading thing, you can access the boat more quickly by dropping down through the hole in the bridge to some rubble alongside a pylon, saves walking around the entire block. Going back you still have to walk around though.
