I am reminded of a show back in the 80s called “Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future”. It too takes place on a nuclear war ravaged Earth. It was originally produced as a kid’s show to sell a line of toys, but don’t let that stop you from checking it out. Yes, it’s dated in places (what old show isn’t?), but still holds up well all these years later. After watching the one season that was produced, you will see why there’s been a movement to bring it back ever since it was cancelled. It’s definitely worth a watch!!!

This screams way too much of Fallout 4, and I don't like that. We need some Classic Fallout energy here. We need the NCR more than the Brotherhood Of Steel. We need to see actual guns, not those confused machine guns the devs called an "Assault Rifle" in Fallouts 4 and 76. Give us some P90s and AK-47's and Service Rifles on the AR Platform! Give us a Plasma Caster and T-51b Power Armor! If we don't see it... then we need to declare the TV series as Apocrypha just like Bethesda did with Fallout Tactics.

I think the Walton Goggins character looks too good for a ghoul. Other than the nose he could pass on any New York street. Unless the feral ghouls are going to look a lot worse.

I read an article from the makers of the show about this point. They said that they made his design less Ghoulish so people would know who the actor is. I bet we get feral ghouls in the show that look more like they do in the games.

Thats the same excuse Jackson used for the un-dwarvish designs of the dwarves in The Hobbit. Thats a bullshit excuse, imo. This is an actor playing a role. I don't give a rats ass who's playing the character. I want to see the character and I want them to look like the character they play. That's the point of acting.

Michael Emerson is probably an enclave member or he used to be. I think he is also the guy in that turret scene with the dog meat. Probably running away from the Enclave base.

Very good breakdown, especially for a channel that doesn't cover just Fallout content. The only thing I can add is the Jukebox was inside vault 33, and the sign on the shack inside philly says "supply". Cant wait to watch the show

The turret aim seems consistent with FO76 turrets which you are lucky if they even fire at the target.

Pretty sure the dog isn't a GSH. Looks more like a Belgian Malinois. Which, if it's owned by the Michael Emerson character would be a cool if unintentional Person of Interest 'easter egg'.

I think the vault with the cornfield and the violence might have been 32, not 33. The violence could be a flashback to how 32 got the way we saw it with the dry, dead corn. Also, the first I heard that production was starting was when they announced an open call for stuntworkers. The words "Vault" and "Raiders" weren't used in the announcement, but the scene described in the call was basically "Raiders have breached a Vault." If that's what we're seeing, I dunno why the bearded bald guy was wearing a vault suit, but he might have just put it on after looting it.

I would say based on it coming out of the water the new creature is a mutilated (and grown) axolotl. It does look like it could be such. I like the addition of horses to the franchise. I love horses and seeing no horses in the franchise has disappointed me. I just hope that is not limited to a pre-bomb drop thing and that BGS eventually adds them to the games.

Yes, but wasn't the horse in the past, when the bombs were dropping? I don't recall any in the current timeline.

​@aklesh3 Yeah the whole thing about Fallout is that there are almost no horses because of the Fallout and the bombs. The horse scene is (obviously by the nukes) at the point of war. After war there were none.

The jukebox is In a vault, probably #33, if you look at the background, the sky is fake and the faming area too regular to be normal so compare that tot he scene in Vault 33's vegetable garden and you can see the same fake sky on the ceiling ;)

my only issue is the cyclops... I know it gets shrugged off as 'radiation' or 'mutation' or 'gene manipulation. To me, the effects of such are well established in the IP, and when they start to get 'creative' it sends up red flags about any other 'clever additions' that might be coming. Personally I HATE it when they 'add' things to an established world. To often they try and get cute, forgetting that anything they add now is technically cannon. I'm a purist, dont fck with the sauce.

That's my reaction too. I saw another reaction video comment and then watched the trailer. I saw all the same bizarre things. Not sure what is going to happen. As one of Nolans fave actors Emerson is not a surprise. Lots of directors have actors they prefer to work with. We can expect more familiar faces from Nolans' past shows I'd guess. Irreverent humour is right. That is a reason I strongly prefer Fallout to "The last of us". We'll see if the tone is right! Two things, the airship appears to be an exact copy of the Brotherhood's Prydwynn? Since it's an east coast thing that's odd. Also the town looks like an exact copy of Megaton which is a capital wasteland town!? What is up with that?

That cyclops vault dweller makes no sense. I mean, they are sitting in the overseer's office. SO this guy must be the overseer of the vault. Overseer's never participated as guinea-pigs in Vault-Tec's experiments, afaik. And one eye has to be the outcome of a mutation of some sort. How? Were his parents or grandparents exposed to radiation or something? Did they leave the vault and come back again? But then again: how? Normally they aren't allowed back in if they have been outside and exposed to the radiation, afaik. I'm confused. Then there is that Santa Monica Pier. And the surroundings of it. Why does it all still look so destroyed? Isn't LA NCR territory? Shouldn't this all be rebuild by the time this show starts? I'm confused. And that strong presence of the BoS on the west coast? They have been pretty much wiped out by the NCR over there. And now they are back, and they even have a second Prydwen? Which brings me to the next issue... What's with that Prydwen knock-off air ship? makes no sense. While the BoS did have other air ships, none of them were as big and advanced as the Prydwen (according to Lancer-Captain kells in FO4). The Prydwen was unique. So where does this big ass air ship (the Caswennan aka the Prydwen) come from? Man, I could go on and on. Right now I'm more confused than excited, tbh.

The L.A. area is well-established in Fallout canon for making strides in rebuilding society… yet we’re seeing garbage everywhere in that trailer. This is supposed to be 200 years after the great war. I really hope they aren’t making a cartoonish 1950s post apocalyptic amusement park ride here and plan to actually tell a meaningful story.
