It depends. For one, it may lead to the 2017 Death Note film, but on the other hand, there's the Shusuke Kaneko (famous for the Gamera trilogy of kaiju films) fix fic duology of Death Note films. Either way, yeah, we sorely need less adaptations to works that are already visual enough. I swear, people who claim they'd rather watch a flawed movie adaptation and not play the source game could be deemed a *moral degenerate* at worst.

Nah, not convinced. Nolan says he played Fallout 3 but remains super vague about everything else. He might as well at that point lie about the fact that he even played 3 and instead just looked up some stuff on the wiki. Also, split what fandom really? Both Star Wars and Fallout may have fandoms split on what they like but here is the problem. They both have a similiar mindset when it comes to their modern media. The Sequels are crap. In general. VERY few people, like a very miniscule amount of people actually like them. Thats not splitting the fandom. Fallout 3, 4 and 76 are loved by some people. Tell me the amount of people that actually LIKE the stories of these games. Remember, the setting, the tone, the story, these are what matters in a T.V show. Not the gameplay that these games had. So no, I still think this thing will be dogshit and that Bethesda has muddied the waters on what Fallout should be at this point, that from Fallout, the only good content to be produced I expect to be good, will be from the fans. Yes, Frontier was bad, yes New California had cringe-worthy dialogue, but I still have more faith in Fallout London than whatever this crap is supposed to be. They just shove BoS down our throats again. Big red flag. Why do the NCR look like Fiends? Another big red flag. Why did you make Shady Sands a crater? Big red fla- "Oh but it might not be Shady Sands!" Why did they name it that then in the damn trailer? Power Armor made to be like Iron Man? Bullshit. Are we even going to see some side factions like the Great Khans, Followers or even Caesars Legion? Doubt it. Its just going to be a whole bunch of BoS and a lot of other small survival episodes in the wasteland, which in my eyes, is not even Fallout. 200 years have passed and we shouldn't have people struggling to survive out in the wastes anymore in the West Coast. Uncharted territories like Mojave? I buy that. But this whole thing reeks honestly. Mark my fucking words, this show will suck. Just like Netflix Avatar did. Just like Halo and Witcher did. Just like most of our modern media entertainment these days have. Yes, even the Last of Us show is not that good. Its just another corporatized mess that is being shoved down our throats just like how they shove BoS into everything. Its goddamn bullshit.

I will give the Show a fair chance, but i'm not 17 anymore and the urge to not waste my time with high resolution crap had grown immensely over the years. So i'm fearing as well that they just put some well known factions Like the Brotherhood into the show, but they're lacking any deeper meaning than "blowing up the environment in a Power Armour". I will give it a chance, but the first time I wittness lazy writing i will stop immediately. I see your red flags too and others as well, yes, but maybeeee the show can deliver a good explaination to most of them. Who knows.

The 2 things I am afraid for the show are : 1) The humor - for me the humor should be dark but realistic, and not Marvel-like, seems from the trailers that the humor will take the ironic Marvel route 2) Lore breaking - not in some obscure minor way,but major lore established breaks, like in the trailer what appears to be an overseer is an cyclops mutant, or that the goul character would not be able to even walk due to his advanced age, things like that

There are many pre war ghouls in Fallout lore that are as agile as a normal human. Also a cyclop overseer is nothing to special if you remember the overseer of Vaut 88 who is a pre war ghoul, or the overseer of Vault 120 who is a giant squid or if you remember that in the Fallout universe there are intelligent Deathclaws (who also lived in Vault 13 and practically were its unofficial overseers), Super Mutants, ghouls, intelligent radscorpions and molerats and AI (like John Henry Eden).

The only way to please me is to make a show with an interesting story and characters (and I'd be extra pleased if I found the themes interesting and developed off of the Fallout games' themes but I'll settle for good characters and story). I also stay the fuck away from rage-bait youtubers. They're parasites who ruin discourse so thanks for the level-headed video.

This is a smart move that I think more adaptations of video games should follow. Adaptations like The Last of Us, Arcane, and Hopefully Fallout are rolling 50/50 with who they’re appealing to; fans and people who have never played the games. What I think mass defenders of adaptations like Freddy’s and Super Mario Bros fail to realize is that while there’s nothing wrong with fans having something JUST FOR THEM, having something that manages to go 50/50 and not only give them their rush of nostalgia but also bring in newcomers as well and deliver a more consistent and worthwhile product. I’m not saying that Mario and FNAF didn’t do that but I think allows an adaptation to stand on its own more and not just be references and eye candy for fans

Very good. But Fallout four more than doubled the number of Fallout fans that existed after Fallout 3. An issue I have is this. I have watched every clip followed by analysis from Mr Patty plays, Juicehead, Oxhorn and so forth. I was very excited. But this last clip they released let me down. It is very obvious it is on a very small echo like "stage" setting. This is something I have experience in by attending plays, being in some, but mostly playing in pit Orchestras. It did not feel very "Hollywood." When the BS knight comes in I guess with a jet pack, it is so poorly done it is painfully obvious he is being lifted and let down with wires the quality of a junior college play. Viewers not familiar with BS jetpacks will not understand how this is possible with no special effects indicating a jetpack, and lack of required movements of the knight if he were using a jetpack. Watch it some more with a critical eye.

Squire, not a Knight, not as experienced with the PA. We literally never see him use a weapon in that armor once, he just goes around punching things. I'm giving the jetpack scene a pass since he's likely not completely trained with the thing.

At least Fallout is an easy digest for casuals and newcomers. Just play at least three of the games, read a buncha feelie manuals, and voila, you're A-OK at best. Star Wars, on the other hand... well, woe to one who prefers TCW 2008 over the CWMMP, doesn't deem the likes of TIE Fighter and Empire at War even as Legends canon because they're video games that just aren't compatible to their capabilities (either because the casual/newcomer isn't into flight sims or RTS games, or perhaps it's a console gamer who is not into PC games, it depends), and even reading and loving just one "flawed" book like Crucible may instantly make them an instant pariah... face it, Fallout is divided, but it's not as necessarily "elitist" (for lack of a better word) as SW. Not a fan of TLoU stuff made after the first game. I swear, that should have stayed a one-hit wonder without the need of a bloated franchise. Anywho, the Fallout show must also succeed in a standalone feel, not unlike the first Resident Evil movie and the Witchblade anime, if you know what I mean. 4:39: The Arkhamverse Batman too, I assume, since he mentions games. Of course, is he also a fan of Tim Burton's, Frank Miller's, Darwyn Cooke's, and especially the DC Animated Universe iterations? I can sympathize with the "played with Fallout 3 first" opinion. Take a look at how many people started with System Shock 2 instead of the roughshod first game, Frasier instead of Cheers, and HeartCatch PreCure instead of the lighter Futari wa PreCure as weird yet sensible examples of "Sequel Displacement". Does Eckhart's Ladder count as a ragebaiter? Addendum: You sure love sniping armored goons on Fallout 4, eh, Mr. Qinn?
