He was okay. You can see he's "acting" like a badass in the show. Which I can't tell if it's his character pretending to be hardcore or if he's just not believable as being tough. Either way adds to the character I guess.

@@joshuapena4684 Each of them is acting as the Player Character-- using some of the most popular "builds". Spoiler alert: Maximus is a mass murderer with a good heart (every PC who kills NPCs, especially when they can get away with it, and randomly to take their stuff, but still goes the "good" side of the main quest). Lucy is the do-gooder PC (does what must be done but isn't too happy when hit with the hard choices). The Ghoul is the 100% completionist (been there, done that, maxed out everything, blasted everything, now just back in-game to mess around). The only thing is all 3 have their own main quests. Season 1 is their (first) intersection. Lucy wants the head to save her father. Only he's a pre-war vault-tec employee from V31 who's been hand-selected to form the future according to his (and Bud's) vision. He was directly responsible for nuking Shady Sands and is responsible for the ghoulification/brain-death of Lucy's mother, his post-war-born vault-dwelling wife. Maximus wanted the head to get back on the BoS's good side after lying and trying to steal Knight Titus's identity. He probably should have just ignored the radio call again, retrieved the head, and went back to the BoS and is now role-playing as a certified badass. Now he's a Knight and in on a conspiracy by his chapter's Elder, probably next to prove his worth before trying to wrangle the reins himself. The Ghoul just wants answers-- where's his ex-wife and their daughter now? It's a quest to solve a mystery. Sounds like he thinks they're both still alive and healthy somehow. If not, he'd probably like closure. Janey was with him when the bombs dropped, so she might have been kidnapped after. Or he took her to a Vault-Tec checkpoint and never saw her again and was unable to track them. He knows secrets about the Vault system that Lucy doesn't, including that each was an experiment (and might have more specific information like that Bud's Buds are all in V31 but that Barb went somewhere even better). He's not too keen on sharing the information with Lucy, but maybe she hears a part of it on the way to New Vegas.
