This is beautiful. I loved this show so much as a child. Fame made me want to go to a performance arts school. I remember trying to learn all the dance moves and performing them in my living room lol. Especially the episodes where the kids had returned from summer vacation and were dancing in the streets. Such great memories! Thank you for sharing this beautiful video. Rest In Paradise to all.

Ugh Nia & Jessie still holding hands, adored them on the show, they were so amazingly talented. This got me so emotional, FAME was easily one of the greatest show on TV & no doubt inspired GLEE, which went for 6 seasons too, but nothing will ever compare to this.

Comprai un VCR per registrarmi le puntate Ora ho 2 set di DVD delle prime due stagioni, in originale. E le vedo su Amazon Prime. A 57 ancora le canto e le so a memoria tutte. Nel 1986 andai a NYC a cercare la scuola: credevo che esistesse davvero. Aprii l'elenco del telefono e trovai centinaia e centinaia e centinaia di Scuole d'Arte a Manhattan! How naive: comunque dopo una decina di anni mi trasferii in USA. Colpa di Fame..... Ma ebbi la "fortuna" di vedere per caso, che registravano un episodio (anzi delle sequenze di balletti) in Central Park, sotto il General William Tecumseh Sherman Monument.

Sunday nights 1984-5 were not complete without watching 'The Kids from Fame' - Valerie Landsberg's (Doris) voice still as clear as a bell today - a wonderful young actress back then; Carlo Imperato - a true natural talent & Erica Gimpel - wow, she has aged very well and her voice as beautiful as before. Such a beautiful, goosebump inducing song of subtle, subdued gratitude & uplifment. Despite the hedonistic 80s; most of these talented actors & singers survived (RIP Gene Anthony Ray... you are a special dancing angel in Heaven, where there is only peace & joy for you and no more struggles). Assisti à quase todos os episódios e fica me imaginando naquela escola de dança...e vendo essas imagens é como se eu tivesse feito parte dessa história ...E fiz!!! Todos nós que rimos, choramos,nos emocionamos de alguma forma fizemos parte desse filme e nos ensinou muitas coisas!!!!
