SATELLITE with The Friends of Fame

P. R. Paul asked me if I would direct the video of a song called "Satellite" that he and Ralph Stevens had written for a band he had when we were filming FAME in Los Angels. We traveled to where cast members were living and recorded/filmed them at their homes. We had a great time. Stay turned for the interviews I did with all of them.

I wanted to ask her something which I would never ask publicly ... we'd spoken before and I wanted to pick up on something. She gave me the best hug. And Paul Rosenbaum was a gentleman. I met her about 12 years ago, and she was a real sweetheart. She is present when she is in conversation with you, she actively listens and holds space. I remember being really grateful for the brief time we shared together. Valerie is just as lovely as you imagine, ladies, if not moreso. She truly is a doll. 💖

Fame is part of one of my favorite 80's memories. I met the cast at a music store in a mall in the San Fernando Valley. I was reminded of how much that day lifted my spirits and I will never forget it. Everyone was so genuine and thoughtful. Thank you for this beautiful song and for making alot of people so happy! Thi shas to be the single most beautiful song I've hard in a long time - and that's saying something! I had the pleasure of meeting Valerie, Paul and Cynthia Gibb last year. It was an honour and one evening I will never forget. I have spoken with Valerie Landsburg at length many years ago and desperately wanted to follow up on our previous conversation ... she asked me for something and I lost her email address. I was too scared to follow it up. :(. One day, I will have more courage. I was just so honoured to have met one = three - of my heroes. Silly to let that opportunity pass me by.

Its really fab to see the Fame Kids again- I saw them in London & Manchester in the 80s but Valerie never appeared in any of them so it will be lovely to see valerie in the flesh fr the first time & indeed PR Paul becuse te only time when I saw him was during the programmes but dont know much about Jesse Borego -which season was he in
