I don't think it was all roses 🤔 Leroy's real life family were all drug dealers , had guns , not very nice people! his mother went to jail . He spent most of his childhood wandering the streets so I guess his world didn't have much love in it.

Always makes me think of my incredible sister, Jo. She was born in 1968, after our sister, Nessa. I came along in 1973, the 3rd sister and final child. Jo and I were obsessed with pop music. Jo worshipped 'Fame'! I think this came out in 1982. And we believed ANYTHING was possible... Now, at the age of 49, I know that fame isn't everything - but music... Music runs through my veins.

It was! Broadcast on Thursday nights here in the UK, all us kids raved about it at school the next day. HSM was inspired by Fame, and would not have been made without this iconic and brilliant series. Fame focused on the lives of the students and teachers, their lives in and out of school and their dreams and aspirations that inspired all those lucky enough to watch the show.
