I would be interested to see where are they now, which one succeeded, which one reverted back to the old habits, as this addiction is as strong as any other. Speaking from my experience. With Nicole I saw much more resistance as if it really didn't penetrate her mind, her own conviction and she rather did this due to the pressure from others. But maybe I am wrong.

It does seem stupid to sell high street clothes that you'll get very little back for in comparison to what you paid. I get that she wants Nicole to realize she doesn't really use or need all those clothes, so there's no point in buying more. Instead of picking an arbitrary number, though, I like what the sister said about getting rid of anything you haven't worn in the past year.
@CocoaPuff01 Жыл бұрын
I agree. That was an absolute waste of money
@ritaamor283Ай бұрын
My first thought, but then I realized that this time Gail wasn’t asking that because of the money, but as she says in the end “selling clothes that were cluttering your energy”, it was so she shifted her focus from her frivolous lifestyle to her daughter and paying her debt. And the fact those clothes have no reselling value is also a good lesson, versus , for example a house.

My daughter is 31 and addicted to shopping for clothes. She goes to free places, thrift and consignment stores. I watched an episode of hoarders yesterday and a schoolteacher hoarded books and junk and her daughter gave her an ultimatum - the junk or me. The mother chose the junk. How do I get my daughter to stop acquiring more stuff? Anyone have any ideas? It really bothers me. I can see my daughter hoarding clothes and shoes and boots. She's well on her way. I won't allow her to store anything at my home. She has a crammed full medium sized storage unit.
