Brandon mcmillan is the most gentle, thorough and effective dog i've ever encountered. My friend and i love the dog show and never miss it. So many times we've shed a tear of happiness just seeing a dog's life changed forever when proper training is applied and they go on to live their lives the way they should. I admit that I don't always like to pass by such a powerful dog if I don't know the owner as a reliable person, but with that big head and those tiny little eyes, I couldn't resist cuddling him, he's one of the cutest things I've ever seen, looks like a teddy bear.

I LOVE saying hi to staffies, pitbulls and bulldogs (with owner's permission of course). They are such loving creatures, and their owners are often very happy that someone else appreciates their dog properly. I got introduced to staffies because of one that rode the bus with me. Kisses every time!

You should be careful with all dogs honestly. Breed doesn’t matter. I always ask the owner if I can pet their dog, I don’t just go in trying to pet the dog. I also let the dog smell my hand first.

@@daCubanaqt Of course, any dog can bite you if not properly raised and cared for, but starting from the assumption that you cannot know which owner you are dealing with, a pug can give you at most a cut, a border collie can maybe tear you off two fingers, a pit bull or an equally muscular and powerful dog can easily kill you, which is why having greater caution with them does not mean believing that they are meaner than the others, but only acknowledging the difference in potential risk.

I found it odd that he was scheduled to be euthanized and it broke my heart. He had a microchip and his soulless family dumped him on the streets. You would think the shelter would have done everything possible to find him a home without even considering euthanasia. I just don't understand that. So glad this lady saved him.

Probably due to overcrowding. I don't know about the UK, but here in America, because people refuse to be responsible and spay and neuter their animals, there are a million or more dogs and cats euthanized every year because there simply isn't room in the shelters to handle all of them. It's not enough to demand that shelters become "no kill." We need to demand that pet owners stop letting their animals breed indiscriminately and then try to make it the shelters' responsibility to find homes for all the babies.

If it was truly the case that he was scheduled to be euthanased, it might be because the shelter might of thought that a "pit bull" breed would have been to difficult to re-home. That said, I doubt the shelter would have really considered it appropriate for what is clearly a big softy cuddle monster. So am a gonna take that statement with a pinch of salt. Why would this shelter even think about euthanizing this precious dog without first trying to find him a home, and how does anyone suddenly decide they don't want their dog anymore? I'm sitting in my bed right now while the dog I adopted almost 10 years ago is snuggled up beside me with her head on my shoulder and snoring away. She is my heart ❤️ so the callousness and evil in so many people boggle my mind! I'm so glad this wonderful woman rescued him and that he gets so much love. God bless the animal lovers of the world!

Unfortunately, even in the doggo world discrimination exist and pit bulls are not given much effort or really a chance over other dogs when it comes to euthanasia. This is mostly based off of preconceived notions about them being labeled as aggressive dogs, as well as their looks.

A shelter can't keep a dog forever; it has to make room for the next day's collection of strays and unwanted animals. The worst culprit is Craigslist, which provides dog breeders with free advertising. Too many dogs cranked out, not enough homes. Least popular at shelters are pit bulls and large black dogs. I've had them both, and they are so wonderful.

Murph and Hendrix would have passed physically as twins and have similar personalities. We lost Murph in 2/2022 @ 15 and even though he lived a long fruitful/happy life, the hole left behind by him not being here is still large.

I know how you feel I lost two dogs last year and I still haven't gotten over it to this day I still miss them like mad... but I gave another dog a second chance of a good life who was abused by his previous owners I have had to rehabilitation him compared to when I first got him to now he has changed so much you would think that they were different dogs entirely... Now he is very happy he has some issues I have to work on with him but that is how you get a good dog is by putting the work and effort into the dog you get what you put in in most cases... It just takes some hard work and some discipline and not giving up on it and that is not always easy...

He is a TREASURE and absolute treasure! He had to have been so loyal to his last owners who just DUMPED him in the streets?!?!? What does that do to a person? Dogs are people too, of course. That kind of betrayal has to hurt to the core and yet he found it in his heart to belong to you and be SO happy about it.
