I was born in late 1976, thus remembering when the Dawson-era Family Feud was both on network TV and first-run Syndication. Also remembered when the Family Feud theme was a car cue for Price Is Right.

If you pause at 17:53 you notice that they also revealed the last answer 'gold' and the point value even though they won fast money with only 9 answers. How long did they do that? I've never noticed that before.

Not really on both accounts. Dawson and Harvey did have remarkable careers even before Family Feud.

Look at 5:38 you can see someone below the blank scoreboard (behind the set) standing in the background, Maybe a stagehand who resets the board?

All in black . . . must be a shadow cast on this person from the scoreboard, so that he/she appears all in black. Interesting to me as I did not realize the depth of the set that is seen from the stage. It would be hard to tell unless you see someone standing there like this.
