I got stung in my groin by a yellowjacket when I was five or six years old and channels like this and JP the bee man have helped me get past that early childhood trauma too. There are some species I still have no love for and will keep my distance from, but I'm not nearly as antsy around honey bees anymore, which is good as the neighbor next door has a hive in the back of their storage shed that they don't want to get rid of, and I have to walk past it on the way to the bus stop every day.

It looks like you use a lot of cell phone battery life. I do too. Solved the problem by buying a Samsung Galaxy Note3. This is a great phone, but an oldie. It is the last one Samsung made with a REMOVABLE RECHARGEABLE BATTERY.I like it so much I bought a spare! Still available on Ebay and Etsy for about $230.00. I bought a bunch of the matching batteries (about $10 ea), including a double size one, plus a separate charger for these batteries. Now I can recharge one while using another. Great value.

@@628DirtRooster If that's what you have, just buy a few extra batteries from Amazon and stick them in a pocket. When battery starts to run low. You pop the back off the phone and put in a fresh battery in and ready to keep recording. Easy process and you can leave them overnight to charge for the next day. Mine also has a slot inside to put a micro memory card to increase the phone memory. Too geeky for you? It's actually really simple!

I've always wondered what happened to all those cut outs, and commercial orphaned bee collections. Your bee yards didn't seem to have enough colonies to represent all that you collected. It appears from this video that you sell a lot of them. Your hive boxes always look older, and I never see you building any new ones. So I guess you bring 'em in and nuc them out. Makes sense now. Had a rescue dog that loved to sit by bushes and hunt bees, wasps, whatever. We would pull the stinger out of his swollen face, and he would happily return to the bushes. We would keep him in the house until the swelling went down, but he wanted to hunt the bees more than the sting bothered him. He was a ratter delux. The GS isn’t a ratter, so once should work. Good luck with the bees.

628DirtRooster Bees Then it wasn’t just than my dog was a ratter, was it? So much for that theory. He was the only dog I’ve had that hunted mice and insects, so I always thought it was because he was a ratter. Dobes can be taught to hunt rats, but the ones I have been around didn’t do it naturally. However, dog behavior is highly variable, no matter the breeding. I guess we both have had dogs who were a bit nuts. :)

Keep in mind the distance, especially with the elders. I know it's hard while doing the thing you love while keeping your distance. My beekeeping mentor is currently on a breathing machine due to Corona virus, it's not looking good.

Robertas B our nucs are expensive compared to yours. They are between $125-$150. The exchange rate would equal about 125euros. You’re getting a great deal! :).

Josh Moore - You must be in the south. You’re getting a heck of a deal too. I’m up here in the Pacific Northwest and a 3 pound package of bees costs about $145.00. A 5 frame nuc is running about $250.00.
