To be fair, I've tasted instant coffee made by a friend of a friend who's a professional barista (she made "elevated instant coffee" if you will), and while it didn't exactly rival fine fresh ground coffee, it was certainly the very best cup of instant coffee I've ever had.

You ABSOLUTELY serve coffee and desserts/cake at a wedding reception, it's my favorite part. Folgers? Not so much - well, unless that's what the venue's gonna stock (...so probably Folgers, yeah). Most people drink it with a bunch of cream and sugar anyway so they can't tell the difference versus good stuff.
