My dog had a feral cat friend. The cat walked with my dog and my dad for years. When our dog started to get old and had a hard time seeing, the cat walked right next to him and helped guide my sweet dog. After my dog died, the cat and my dad started going on walks on the same route everyday The cat lived 10 more years being an almost inside cat in our home. She passed away very loved and we never forgot her kindness to our beloved dog. We don't know exactly how old she was, but was in our lives for 18 years.

I used to have a cat, Roger, who could get into a neighbor's house on his own. They loved him and they loved me and didn't want me to worry that he was outside and not responding to my calls for him. So they drew a picture of him that said, "Roger is in" and posted it in a window I could see, and took it down when he left. That went on for years. Such sweet neighbors!

I had a small cat adopt me. She hurriedly had 9 kittens on my lawn chair on my small patio. I cut up an old shearling coat for her. Then I made a kitty gum out of boxes in my apartment living room. I found homes for all the kittens. That was the second time a cat adopted me and had a litter. When I moved out of the city, I put a little note on her collar that had my phone number,etc., and asking if they would adopt this sweet outdoor cat. I got a note back, “That’s our cat “! 😂😂😂😂

One of our rescues insisted on going out. He'd visit a neighbor down the way. It was funny because we'd met when her blind, elderly dog would wander to our house. We moved. It was sad for the neighbors. They always asked about Cupcake. Who became an indoor only bc it was the city. He passed in October at 16 yrs. The first non family informed was our former neighbors who cried along with us. We were blessed by this amazing soul. Thank you for allowing this animal bond to flourish💙🐾

One of my cats found me on a walk. He was so friendly, but in bad shape. We looked for his own, no one claimed him, so we kept him. Vet said he was elderly, and for a free cat he costed us a small fortune in vet bills. He was good old man who loved ham and sleeping on your feet. Sadly passed away Christmas Day 2023. It was peaceful, curled up in a blanket in our arms. We gave him a good home for his last 4.5 years of life, and he gave us moments of laughter, stories, and furry tumbleweeds that floated around the house.

OK, that was adorable. I have a little black stray kitty that chose me & my apt over dozens of others to now live with. One day she was gone for a longer time than usual so I went looking for her. I found her walking back over a small hill with a woman & her dog. She escorted them back to where the complex they lived in before running to me. Evidently, she takes walks with this dog often. Super cute!!

My old cats would walk with us. Hiding under cars in driveways or coming out of the bushes ahead as we walked. Always, without doubt, Boo the big black cat always had to be the first one back to the front yard and landing to the front door. LOL Sometimes I'd jog up to the front yard and he'd always put it in to high gear to be first. Miss that old guy.

I've got a cat that's 14yrs old. Just moved to a new town last year. My car Izzy goes to my neighbor's everyday, meows at their door for treats & to get petted. Then to the next house to them for the same thing & then comes back home. Neither house has cats, but got cat 🐈 treats just for her. She did it at last house with the neighbor across the street. My other cats, didn't even have a desire to go outdoors, but she does & will sprint out.
