Honestly, this is goals! I love how you and Matt do things together. Sitting down for dinner, putting the kids to bed, workout, laundry while watching something, going to bed together. This is a recipe for a long and happy marraige ❤

I love that you do affirmations with your kids. It's so important to lay that positive foundation in their minds now. My mother was emotionally abusive. I'm almost 50, and I still struggle to believe I am enough. It brought tears to my eyes and warmed my heart watching you and Juniper. Your kids are so lucky to have such awesome parents.

We switch off putting the kids to bed, too, when my husband is in town. This helps me from getting burnt out. I have 3 , my oldest being 8 and young, not quite 2. By the time I get everyone home from school we have time for an afternoon nap then I start to prepare dinner. If we are lucky dinner gets on the table by 5:30-6 and when finished we start bedtime. Middle child (5) first 6:30-7, oldest (8) 7:30-8 then youngest (22m) any time between 9 and 10, usually 9:30. Then I crash on the couch, usually with a glass of wine and laundry, or knitting or the sims/ stardew valley. We manage one bath a week for each unless they are particularly dirty) usually the younger 2) and I count walking to and from school as my workout (though my doc would argue that does not count😂).

I also get so teary when my 3 year old daughter comes to me and says look at me I am so beautiful. Like you Mama. I have a second daughter who is only 5 months old and I hope that both my daughters will know that they are enough and beautiful no matter what. When I am home and not working we will do dinner around 5/6 pm and then at 7 pm bedtime for the baby and at 8 for my toddler. It helps me to get some extra play and snuggle time with my 3 year old especially when we have some rough days with my second. After that we do our hobbies. So Gaming, Puzzles, Drawing or reading.

I love the mirror song and affirmations. What a neat thing to implement. I'm going to do this! Thank you for sharing. I think you should replace the basket for the candle holder location, but it's hard to tell without seeing the tapers you'll choose to put in it (height). I think the science should be below the top board line and the candle should be half way cut by the board line. Maybe. Lol. I need a mock up! Good luck. ❤

That was honestly so enjoyable to watch and now I kind of just want to see all my friends' nighttime routines to see what we all do differently and the same. It's funny to think about but we never really get a chance to see other people's nighttime routines unless we live with them--even my closest friends I have no idea what they do at the end of the day because that's obviously never when we're together! It's so fascinating to watch haha

You asked about the dinner to bedtime transition. For us it depends on the day (has the dog gone on a walk yet, what did naps look like that day). Some nights I play with our 14 month old while my hubby takes the dog on a walk, other nights we roll pretty much from dinner to snuggles jammies and a milk feeding. I absolutely love seeing other families morning and night routines because it gives me ideas on how to tweak ours as our son gets older.

We used to do bedtime right after dinner but now my 2 year old goes to bed at 9... She used to go to bed at 7, so it was nice to have the evening to ourselves, but I don't want to to shorten her nap, so we are just going with the 9 pm bedtime. We usually go to the park after dinner. I have no clue what we are going to do in the winter! Also, you should try the Earthley Magnesium Good Night Lotion!

Love your video and we kind of do a mix of things.. sometimes it’s bath before dinner or dinner than bath then bed.. it sort of depends on how the day went and how tired my little guy is. For example.. luckily I gave him an early shower yesterday when we came in from the beach.. he was literally falling asleep at the dinner table so we were able to quickly brush his teeth and lay him in bed lol !

We do dinner, bath, playing, wind down for bedtime, and then saying good night to the house. Our LO is only 15 months so she is always covered in some food post dinner….making a bath mandatory. Then we wind down always including a bottle and books. Part of our routine is saying “I am brave. I am strong. I am smart. I am kind.” They said it to me post birth in the hospital and it just stuck with me.

I lovee how you showed mom and dad time after the kids are in bed! I'll have to try and see if my husband and I can start working out together some nights because connection is so impactful on a healthy marriage and lately I have been feeling the need for more connection in our lives. Also my husband just started a pokemon dnd campaign where we are all pokemon trainers and I'm excited but definitely didn't expect to be doing this at 25 hahah!

Hi Megan! Loved your night time routine, I’m currently battling waking up at 5am to get my workout in as my 3yr old son is up at 6am like clockwork.. I was wondering if working out in the evenings gives you energy, or winds you down? I think a night time work out would be super ideal for me but I fear being up later than I’d like.. just curious! Xx

Candle sticks near the basket! Cleaning a bit through the day is alot less overwhelming, I do that too, mostly cos I don't like things out of place🫣 Girls I find are so much easier to toilet train, go with it, if she is happy to do it, let her. Let her choose some big girl undies. He talking has come so far! Magnesium powder is so good for sleep and digestion, I like the Caruso Berry powder. Not sure how long after your drink u brush your teeth but be aware of the acidic part eg lime and soda with brushing as it can wear the enamel at the gumline and make your teeth sensitive. U want to wait at least half hour or more.
