My absolute favourite thing about James is how emotionally mature he is. I know there has been lots of talk about his feelings lately, but if you've been watching this family for a long time you know that James seems to be a kid who understands the importance of and enjoys putting his family members before him when they need it. He's not a pushover by any means! Just look how firm he is with the little ones. But he knows that sometimes some family members need a little more love and he's happy for them to get that. The way that he instantly knows what brands and flavours his siblings enjoy in terms of snacks just shows how much like Alicia he is. He's a wonderful big brother and will be an even more wonderful father someday!

So far James is my favorite (although one shouldn't have favorites, lol). He's so consistently helpful, kind, and polite. Like at 12:12 where James remembers that his mother likes a specific kind of fruit snack. I also appreciate that Alicia gets the kind of fruit snack that the kids like, not the kind that she likes. It's fine to get treats for yourself as a parent, but pushing your own tastes onto your kids too much just breeds resentment.

I understand accommodations for the tastes, likes and dislikes for such a large family but shopping without regard to cost fascinates me. I’m not criticizing, I just find these shopping trips mesmerizing. Her son is such a dear to be so helpful. When I shopped for just my daughter and me, I used coupons and price compared in order to make food stamps and budget stretch. Now, when I shop for my husband and me, I still use coupons and price compare. When my husband’s adult vegan son and pescatarian daughter visit, I use coupons and price compare. When my now adult daughter, SIL and toddler grandson visit, well, you know the drill. I don’t know how to shop any other way even though we have a much larger income than when I was a single parent.

@Lori Smith Oh, I agree there is a lot of sugar and processed food. Having said that, I was trying to not completely bash her parenting. I do understand that with this large a family, she is taking short cuts so that she can enjoy her time with the kids. Having said that, I would cut down on the sugar and give the kids limits. "These are the snacks I am purchasing. You can choose what you like from the variety I have selected." I would refrain from purchasing each kid's favorite at every trip. Or, rotate who gets to make a specific selection.

a lot of this food is banned in the eu due to safety reasons.. USA sells food based on the probability that it'll cause a death rather than banning it outright. If it'll cause even 1 death its banned but USA doesn't care even if just a few people die. The food isnt as amazing as u think

I come from a large family as well, though not quite as large as this. I can honestly say this is quite excessive. I don’t feel all of this is eaten in 1 week. Not judging what was bought (meaning the types of food) but the quantity is a bit much. We never left the store with more than 2 carts.

I'm sorry this seems like an insane amount of food. We have a family of 6 and we don't come close to this. I know you have about 6 more but it's insane. Do you waste alot at the end of the week? Or are you scrapping for food? Genuinely curious

If every person drinks 5 per day (water, soda, juice whatever) - for 3 meals and 2 snacks, that is 80 drinks in one day. Not even factoring in being active and getting thirsty etc between meals and snacks.... Times that by 5 days and that is 400 drinks easy.

As a child psychologist and advocate for children, it needs to be stated that boundaries have to be set and maintained. Allowing a kid to grab such a massive amount of chocolate pudding packs (and stating it’s for himself-jokingly or not) is setting a poor precedent. Kids crave structure and boundaries. Such significant amounts of preservatives, sugar, sodium and additives will hurt their bodies once they’re adults and no longer in your care. I know you’re aware of this because you’ve stated this in previous videos and have even said fluff sandwiches are bad for the body. Your responsibility as a role model, parent and provider is to provide access to a better quality of life for children, considering you constantly sign up for this role. Making content for money is important since it’s how you sustain your family. I’m hoping these products are just sponsorship showings and not all what the children are consuming. I don’t need any responses from the reply bots, payroll and account mods, fans or stans. Kids worldwide deserve a healthier lifestyle to overcome trauma, abandonment, and displacement-research supports this.

@Lacey Sage Willows with all due respect, you don’t have any right to tell me what to be concerned with or how to communicate research based facts. I advocate for all children. I understand you’re a supporter/fan/reply bot etc., but trying to censor someone with your distasteful replies isn’t going to silence anyone from expressing concern or facts.
@nsnz60142 жыл бұрын
I do agree with your comment Zoey, but as long as the kids are getting fed and clothed then we shouldnt complain. There are kids literally starving in this world. Just be happy that these children aren't being starved to death and going without basic needs.🙂

Is it unsafe to drink tap water in parts of the USA? Curious as to why you seem to only drink bottled water?
@orion67462 жыл бұрын
It's a preference. It's safe to drink the water straight from the tap for most of the US. The ones that do not like tap water will use some sort of filtration system and save the planet from plastic bottles. I can't figure out if she ignorant or just inconsiderate.
@orion67462 жыл бұрын
I'll add to my preference comment. It's a dead give away that it's a preference for them being that they purchase a variety of different and pricey bottled water.
@katymcdonald54812 жыл бұрын
I know about Flint, Michigan as that was a global news story I was just curious to see if it was a widespread issue as I see other Americans drinking from the tap. I know there was an issue with them getting hooked up to the city water supply so I thought that could have been a factor as she explained that’s why they were using disposable plates.
@orion67462 жыл бұрын
@@katymcdonald5481 their water supply to the house isn't the problem. It's the sewage. They aren't hooked up to the city's sewage pipes so they have to have a septic tank for all their waste water. That septic tank is broken or something so they have to limit the amount of waste water.
