School Bus conversions and RV's seem to be the goto for family travel. Which one would you chose?
@lauriegladden68872 жыл бұрын
A skoolie 5 window. You don't have as much roof maintenance as on an RV or leaking slide outs. Awnings on the slide outs do help but rubber seals can rot kind of fast if you don't do the maintenance needed. A skoolie just needs a good paint job with a ceramic coat over the clear coat and you're good to go for quite a few years. At my age doing maintenance would kill me.

Love when the kids are given a chance to show what they love, or don't, about RV or vanlife or are just included at all in the tours 💖 my own kids are struggling to understand what it'll be like for them so anything from a kids point of view has been really helpful. Kinda wish I could find a version of this channel for kids, especially school age and teens.
@soulvoyages2 жыл бұрын
Hey. Maybe if you decide to give it a go, you just found a niche market for a digital on the road business...making videos geared to teens/kids from their point of view. Seems like a need waiting to be filled. All the best.

Kids kind of annoy me...maybe l'll feel differently one day but right now l totally get those Mobile Home Parks that say "No Kids Allowed!" 😋
@aprildawnsunshine43262 жыл бұрын
@@bonnieyuse5876 oh don't get me wrong, I love a nice quiet kid free moment. The 10min every hour of adult swim we get is the only time I get in bc I'm pretty sure nobody will splash my glasses 😆 but there's a lot of parent who think they can't do this until the kids grow up and move out and hearing directly from the kids really helps alleviate some of that guilt.
@angelsis22222 жыл бұрын
Tbh I wish they had a kids section but lets face it.... kids would hate living in an rv. Sounds fun for a few days... after a while, kids would want their own space and privacy. Parents tends to pack their kids in the corner like sardines.
@waRr3nxx2 жыл бұрын
I like that they actually talked to one of the kids about their space. So many of these RV videos the parents just seem to gloss over that while they themselves take over half the RV for a master bedroom.

I so agree. I'm sorry but I think children especially preteens and teens have to give up so much for their parents idea of how they want to live. They don't have the social life, school and friendsl. They don't have sleepovers with their friends or school dances or being on sports teams. They hang out with their families which is great but you can do that summer or on weekends. And then they're told only bring what will fit so they have to choose what gets thrown away but you have the parents fixing up the RV so that they can put it on facebook for everybody to see. They have a great bedroom and everything else. I have nothing against the parents but I look at my children. I have 6 children And they didn't miss out on anything. We had summer vacations, we did fun things together on the weekends and they had the well rounded life of being with their friends and enjoying school and being with their family. Sorry just my opinion!

Especially since you said you dont use the sink often....Get a piece of butcher block as a removable cover for the sink as well. Adds counterspace and you can also store extra bread, fruit or pantry items in the unused portion of the sink.

Yes!!!!!!! Finally!!!!! A class A coach that doesn’t feel like your typical office looking, boring neutral color schemes. This is exactly the way I would want to decorate a coach! It feels very warm and comfy! This looks really nice and professionally done! I would love to purchase a newer class A coach, but I just can’t stand the interior. Often times people look at me like I’m crazy for saying that. Lol… But these newer models may be state of the art, but they’re very cold looking on the inside. Feels too office like if you can understand that. So great job!!! Truly my dream class A coach!!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Agree. The whole live in a house , go to a brick and mortar school for socialization is such a fallacy. Not a lot of positive social time happens in schools. People and friends move away. On the road you meet a lot of people. Special friends you keep in touch with

You can take your kitchen table cut it in two pieces. Make it where it'll turn any directions. One half turn towards the couch. Somebody can sit there and eat etc. Other half of the table can turn it towards the wall under the mirror. This area is kids friendly now. Then you can put them back together and this would serve a multifunctional dinette setting.

Mounting a couple of lagoon tables in there, or just one large one, would probably be beneficial, especially as the kids get bigger.

I love the RV. The Corelle dishes can break. I have two sets because they were wedding gifts and are very pretty dishes. I thought they were unbreakable too. I had a Corelle bowl that chipped and I dropped a plate on my kitchen floor and it shattered into a bunch of tiny pieces. Maybe Corelle changed the make of their dishes lately. Mine are several years old but, I just wanted you to be careful. Good luck in all you do.

Looks lovely and homey but i'm intrigued how you plan to address the kids sleep situation longterm if you're planning on living in this rv for the forseeable? Kids grow and their needs change incredibly fast. So having to make changes will likely sneak up on you before you know it. I can say from my own experience sharing a double bed with my 2 sisters that it gets old very quickly and wasn't as 'fun' for us as our parents liked to think. Kids do need a bit of personal space if not an actual room. So if you're not planning on sizing up would you be prepared to sacrfice the master bedroom to make space for 3 kids beds and sleep on the sofa bed yourselves for example? 🤷♀️
@BABYGRLK1002 жыл бұрын
Exactly what I was thinking. It definitely works for now but eventually they will need at least 3 Separate spaces. Even if they do have the pull out couch for like their son he still won’t have his own space.

I've come to understand that reality differs with perception. I have been blessed to experience multiple realities throughout life. The close tight nit family living reality has been the best by far. I enjoyed the huge fancy house with all the luxuries but all that stuff becomes what you live for and think about and work for. Everyone having their own rooms, stuff and things. But going tiny brought us together and we grew in peace, love and joy overflowing. You'd have to experience it to understand. Trust and believe it's a blessing beyond measure. Truly living with your family is amazing. Congratulations 🥳🙌😍🙏

Not judging your parenting. Just a simple question.
