@@ripsaa2693 That's arguable. I was raised in Indonesia and went to many funerals where we celebrated the body, we do it every 5 years. Digging the body up, redressing, resealing, celebrating, and leaving food for the deceased. That being said my standards of respect for dead bodies are high. I don't feel like this family met those standards as it seemed as if he was simply strung up on a hanger. I've never met the guy so my opinion doesn't hold much weight in the treatment of his body as it didn't seem to be disrespected.

People don’t realize the truth about what happens to a soul after death. If you live a Godless Christless life you will end up in hell. They’re not seeing what’s going on on this side. It’s either you are in glory with Christ and that soul is so overwhelmed with peace joy and worship to the true God, or you’re in a devils hell where there is eternal torment. There’s no middle ground. No one gets into Heaven without their sins being atoned for, and the only sacrifice for sin is Christ. At the end of this life the only thing that will matter is if you know Christ. Don’t be fooled by false teachers and itching eared doctrine. Or by emotional atheist that choose not to believe because they don’t want to be accountable for the filthy lives they choose to live full of fleshy pleasures and idolatry. Don’t get mad or fear the truth, just make the right choice before it’s too late. Death is no respecter of age. Choose this day who ye will serve.

I don't like it but I've seen it before on the internet. I was raised Catholic so I have a certain way of thinking about wakes ingrained in my head. They say "rest in peace" for a reason. I'm not very religious but if God forbid I had to lose a child, they wouldn't be put on display like this as if they were a figure at the Wax Museum. They celebrated his life the way they wanted to but is it the way he would have wanted it? It's like how Bobbi Kristina's wake was set up. They gave her a funeral with a Sweet 16 theme. They certainly didn't give her a party when she was alive. I'm open-minded but it's sick especially since they were paid. May he rest in peace and his soul cross over without conflict because these people are disgraceful.

When I was like 10 my friend mother passed. To show support and love to my friend I asked my mom to go to the funeral. We went to their house, thinking we was meeting up to drive to church and my friend was like are you coming in. We get in the and my friend mom who was dead was sitting at the table with sunglasses on, beer in one hand and cards in the other. I have never been so scared. I was crying because I was scared I wanted to leave so bad. My mom took me the bathroom and explained that the Indians (Native American) do funeral like this. Her body stayed in the house for like 2days or something and I never went back over there. Seeing that for the 1st time had me so shook as a kid.
@sammyhooligan8032 жыл бұрын
Yea, they should have informed you what was going on before letting you in that house . Yep, there are some strange type of funerals people do, as for my theory , once someone or myself is dead , that's it -spirit separates from body , and dispose , bury, cremate , body as soon as possible . Display is not necessary . My theory only .

Honey, I love you. You just made my day. That's the funniest one I've ever heard. I was going home from school one day. There was a funeral viewing in someone's house and curious George here wanted to see the dead. Well there she was lying in her coffin. I was scared but as I got older,I grew out of it. I'm 62. 2 family members passed away in the last three years and I didn't look at the body. I've told my family members to cover my body with a thin piece of cloth so that no one will be disturbed by me . Lots of flowers at the side of my body too.

I just wish that our young men in the black community, instead of wanting to become drill rappers, gang bangers and basketball players would rather want to become accountants, lawyers, firemen, chefs etc etc etc. Those professions are much more practical and not to even mention much more safe. With this thing about the dead partying at a club with people who are alive, all I can say about that is that our people are always putting the focus on the wrong things. Instead of thinking about partying, getting high and sexing all the time, we need to think about nation building. If we did that, I think we as a people would get much further ahead in life. Instead we be ego tripping about the miniscule things in life and making a big deal over those things. Like pigs we like to wallow in the mud as we get enjoyment out of these things and these things don't move the needle in your life when you look back ten, fifteen years. I feel sorry for the young man but we as a people have got to get ourselves together.

What difference does it make whether he's propped up on a stage or laid out in a casket?it's STILL viewing a deceased person's body 🤷🏽♀️ It's their family member, they can celebrate whatever way they choose to. You don't have to like it, nor do you have to approve of it 🤷🏽♀️ . As if being dressed up laid out in a casket, sitting through a FUNERAL is any better 🤷🏽♀️.
@9290SC2 жыл бұрын
Nah, you're wrong. This is pretty much idolatry, and let's not mention the setting!! There's a huge difference between a homegoing service (and i'm not even speaking of a religious one, just in a general sense) where you greive, laugh, and reflect, versus practically clubbing, and turning up with the deceased - i mean, let's not mince words here! Don't even try to compare the two instances. Nothing is wrong with "celebrating" his life on earth - you can do that after he's laid to rest. But to have him propped up like that in a nightclub is simply immoral.

I think the issue is when you view someone in a casket it represents them being at rest. the body is put in it's final resting place and no longer interfered with. to rest in peace. So to display the body upright standing on stage as if it is animated or using his body like it's a doll is morbid.
@ew07112 жыл бұрын
The person is deceased, doesn't matter if they're laying/sitting or standing. We know he wasn't actually partying with the people in attendance 🤷🏽♀️ I'm still saying it's a matter of OPINION.
