Love the family atmosphere.....You make it look too easy or I’m a horrible mechanic. Keep them coming.

Thanks David! We are doing our best to show the whole build from start to finish. It is tough some weekends to keep up the pace.

How was the alignment after you put door wearherstripping in? I'd think it be better to have all weatherstip in before drilling the holes to ensure the windshield is sitting where it needs to be. Also, anyone know if this cage works with the BC Broncos soft top?

I am not sure about the BC Broncos top sorry. We have all the weather-stripping installed now and everything fits nice. It is best to fit the doors with it in place but we did not have it at the time. The doors are definitely tight but it does not cause any alignment issues.

Does anyone know if a Bestop will work with the Krawlers Edge family cage. Was about to order the Bestop until I watched the Wild Horses install video...and the clearance at the windshield connection looks like it might be tight with my KE family cage. Thanks for any help!

Yes sir. It is supposed to work. I plan to use a Bestop on my Bronco as well.

Thank you Sir again for the response!!!

I'd love to have one of those old bronco's, but as everyone knows, their going for crazy stupid money.. keep up the great videos. I'm sure you're going to love it when you get it finished. And of course the journey getting there

Thank you Dale. We are enjoying the build. We are trying to keep some decent content that won't bore everyone to tears.

Wow your right that was the easiest piece to install with no modifications. Will a hard top fit over the cage?
@JasonJonieBuilds4 жыл бұрын
Yes sir. You can go either hard top or soft top. The bars are angled to allow the bows to pass.

Are you going to put a backing plate on the bottom side of the body for strength?
@JasonJonieBuilds3 жыл бұрын
I installed the backing plates that came with the cage. I also went back and added additional spot welds to the panels. Ideally it would tie to the frame but this one doesn't. Thanks for watching.

Looks good. Did it come fully assembled? If so, is shipping pricey?
@JasonJonieBuilds4 жыл бұрын
Brian, it comes fully welded. It is the only way they sell it. Yes shipping was expensive but not too bad. We got the seatbelt option too. Shipping seatbelts and cage ended up costing around 1600. Thanks for watching.

Great video - do you think the cage would install just as easily on a finished interior, or do you recommend pulling all seats/carpet/etc. out completely before install?
@JasonJonieBuilds4 жыл бұрын
Scott it really went in easy. The carpet may need to be trimmed or install it over it. Just have a few friends with you. Thanks for watching.

Great video, did you paint the roll cage yourself or did you have krawlers edge handle the paint? If you painted yourself how did you go about this?
@JasonJonieBuilds4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Mike! I primed it myself. I have not painted it yet. It is shipped bare steel. I sanded the caged with 220 grit paper and used 90 deg soft wheel grinder on any small spatter. Cleaned it well with paint thinner. I used Metal Lock hing build primer on it. I will paint it along with the bumpers I just finished in the next few weeks. They will be a semi gloss black. Thanks for watching!

So disappointed to see Cage getting attached at windshield. It’s not a strong joint. During that unfortunate time, I hope it never happens for anyone, it’ll not survive the impact.

100% better than what it came with from the factory...nothing.
