Sparkle sparkle sparkle! Your windows, your candles, your big blue eyes! As a weather nerd, I'm following today's storm (my hubs is on a flight through Detroit tonight) and know you guys are going to get hammered. I know you're used to it, and well- prepared, but stay warm, dry and safe. Another beautiful episode, thank you!

Thank you for the tip! :) After seeing your video, I was reminded of some older ladies I grew up around who also used newspaper to clean windows at the little church I attended as a girl. Loved the ending to your video with all the lights in the conservatory! So calming and soothing (which I desperately need right now!).

Beautiful video, Angela! With those windows, could you possibly add a wooden board pergola over each window? Projecting out only a foot or two from the house? I have large windows and am doing that to "cottage" up my brick colonial. Just an idea. Stay warm with incoming storms! Paige

I love nostalgic videos! But wow a LOT of work to clean windows! Over 10 years ago, I switched to Norwex to clean windows and I’m never going back! My husband was shocked when I used them the first time… wet enviro cloth to wipe down the window and a dry window cloth to dry it…. No soap, no vinegar - just water… And NO! I do not sell it - just use it and educate others! Beautiful video though!

Enjoyed this video very much. I love the candles in the windows, so pretty. My sister gave me a window cleaner recipe that's been wonderful and I've used for years now. It's 1 cup of none foaming ammonia, 1 cup of 90% alcohol, to a gallon of water. It's way better than Windex.

So do you wipe the soapy water off with a dry towel or a wet one? I am thinking the dry towel would leave soap on the window, but then maybe wiping with the vinegar is what removes the soap residue. Looks like you use the vinager without diluting it? Thank you for this and I am going to five it a try.

I remember my grandma and mom clean the windows with vinegar and water and newspaper. Do you just spray vinegar, or do you dilute it? You inspired me to do that today. Also, I thought how you and I have the same idea of putting candles in the windows, so cozy. How long will you keep the candles in your windows?
@ParisienneFarmgirl Жыл бұрын
I do spray the vinegar straight. We face south so on a blazing day in the summer the conservatory can get VERY hot so they tend to get a little droopy. I leave them from about November to April. Such a treat to get them out again.

My word for 2024 is Beautiful. Make it. Create it. See it. Live it. I have the same birds and I set them free. They fly around my house. They run around on he floor. I love it. They love it. They play with the dogs. They play with me. I never knew budgies were so fun to have. When they want a bath they go to the dog water dish...they are everywhere. They always in the plants soil. We argue about some plants and i had to sacrifice some. I gave them the parsley plant and the basil. Too cute. If they want to go outside....they go sit in their cage and chirp loudly at me..I will say outside...and we go. They communicate. I just flipped the cage on its side. And they come and go from the cage constantly and at night they be sleeping in their little bird cage coop or in one of my house plants.
