For a detective, you didn’t do much detective work or else you would be aware of the following which provides a significant amount of reasonable doubt. They missed out the fact Bill made them keep mobile phones in a different area of the office where he had access to them. They claimed she used a VPN. Coincidentally, the vpn used was the one Bill had a subscription for, not her. She wasn’t computer savvy at all. The son had to help her set up Wi-Fi, she didn’t even have a password on her phone Both son and father had access to her work computer which they said had searches on it. Bill told Kaitlyn to open any Items delivered to the office in Mary’s name because he was ordering her a gift (Why wouldn’t he just put it in his own name?) Prosecution stated her dna was on the bottle but actually, there were three different DNA samples found on the bottle and it was said her dna couldn’t be excluded, not that it was actually hers. Apparently, Kaitlyn had a day off work on the day she was supposed to have poisoned Mary. Coincidentally, they managed to “lose” their payroll files. This info was ruled inadmissible. Also ruled inadmissible was the fact Kaitlyn was dating someone and there were texts with the son actually begging to get back with him. I’ll be honest, this is a confusing case. Her reactions seem fake but so does the son’s. The father has lied about multiple things and it’s interesting how quickly they cremated her. They all seem guilty so I think it’s very unreasonable to claim there isn’t enough reasonable doubt. I hope she truly is guilty because if an innocent woman has been locked up for the best years of her life , that is a travesty and miscarriage of justice.

@Carl Lennen So she confesses just for the helluva it? They don't need a motive in a case although a jury likes one. Who knows? Maybe she blamed mommy for raising her son to be who he was and who he acted like to her. Maybe mom heard about the abortion and had issues with her about it. Maybe she just wanted to frame the son and did not care who she took out and mom fit as someone he was having problems with. Maybe she thought the son would turn to her if his mom died and she would get him back. Who knows? Maybe unbeknownst to others, she was jealous of his relationship with his mom or of what mom gave him--speaking of which, where is her family in all of this? Why is it the victim's sisters defending her? The rest of it makes perfect sense. She had to send the letter as her plan was not working and they were focusing on the husband/father. Think about it, once she had their focus on him and she was brought in, she quickly told them he had confessed to her, she wanted him to go down. The detective even asked her why he would do that or confess and her answer just did not fly if you ask me... It's a no brainer that the son was not going to frame himself and write the letter. It is unfortunate dad was having an affair which gave focus to him NATURALLY but what good would framing his son do, having an affair does not mean you want your ADULT child gone, again why? You ask how she planted the things in the car? Well who knows, she was close to the family and once this happened, maybe she was close to the son again, or for sure the sisters, etc. for a time while dad was focused on. Anyone can put something in an unlocked car. She worked for and with the woman and you ask how she could give it to her? The husband was not at the office that day when Mary got sick. It comes back to her. The son would not use her phone or computer to frame himself for goodness sake. I don't doubt he was not good to her, that the relationship may not have been good nor that she may have been abused it is entirely possible. She may have been very hurt over the pregnancy and perhaps thoughts she would marry into this family and again, where is hers? Maybe they were there for her and the show just did not focus on that, I don't really know. Total speculation but she worked for the family, dated the son, the mother thought the world of her but that is per her sisters. One can look at this a couple of different ways and that is that she hooked onto this family as her own and behaved sweetly, and the son's breakup with her and maybe failure to marry was dashing her goals and she was realizing it would never happen... As far as the sisters, I am unsure what to think other than they clearly have a family rift and seem to have never been fond of their own nephew, did they hate that he was perhaps spoiled and the going on about the husband's intelligence seems also a bit far fetched and maybe a bit of jealousy factor as well... How close were these sisters to Mary? How often did they see her? How much did they talk or do together? We have none of that. It struck me how the one says Mary was an enabler but she was just starting to put her foot down with her son... Uh-huh... Just starting, and it leads to murder and he frames himself, I don't think so. And enabling parents generally put their foot down and then backtrack and she was just "starting"... Bull. The sister that spoke in this, don't get me wrong, I liked her and I felt her, but she is ignoring the facts and I feel she may just have a hatred of the husband and son, perhaps even a bit of guilt if not as close as she could have been with her sister. Finally, why is it they do not think it could possibly the cheating sister who did this or killed Mary and framed their nephew. She would have more motive than the son but one does not hear that from her as a possibility... Strange case but imo the evidence is there, there was a confession and the letter writing fits perfectly because the defendant wanted the son in trouble, not the dad... All jmo and no offense but I don't see it. Do cops ever get blinders? Of course. However, they were looking at the dad, they then looked at the son after the letters, and even then the looked further and found female DNA... They in no way got tunnel vision... So I differ. She is lucky to only have manslaughter and be a bit less than middle aged when she gets out.

@Carl Lennen I personally believe anyone in a toxic relationship has issues and beef with parents especially when abortion is involved and if the mom was actually gonna cut the son off I highly doubt she was being pleasant to the girlfriend I'd say that is a motive in itself i do agree with you though this should've been looked into more feels like a case of tunnel vision
@venusgal2706
@venusgal2706 4 жыл бұрын
@Carl Lennen Pull the wool from your eyes. By the way, I was somewhat respectful but I am not surprised at your tone and accusations. What is it you believe, some wild conspiracy theory where dad set up son and it traced back to this as well-- "Forensic evidence proved that Conley set up the email account that was used to order the colchicine, the drug that poisoned the victim and is normally used as a treatment for gout, prosecutors said. The password to the account was “adamisgay,” the Post-Standard reports." From the Star-Telegram.com. It sounds to me like you think LE, juries and judges and our system are all corrupt and the answer in your opinion in each case is some far fetched conspiracy plot they missed. So if you think it was dad, who was he trying to set up? His son? Or did he just KNOW the incompetent LE would dig deeper and he was setting her up? Wow. Your beef isn't with me sweetheart, it is with the system apparently and all jurors? Okayyy... The majority are stupid and only you can see it. Hmm. I even can see these are programs and there is much we don't know unless you were personally involved in the case, the information and at trial? A letter, you will find this and this and this under Adam's car seat. That is Kindergarten 101. The person sending it knows where everything is, where to find it and who did it because they put it there. Duh. Oh no, then of course no, he told her naturally when she was confronted.... Yah right. That is the act of someone young and not real bright, or at least not real bright... I don't see any reason to be nasty but if you want to dish it... Anyhow, have a great day.

@Carl Lennen LMBO. I'm not the one doubting the results in this case and inventing conspiracies and ignoring the facts. Yah, I do have far better things to do. I enjoy a good discussion but clearly you are not one to engage in it with. Too stuck in his own tunnel vision and manufacturing things to, I guess, fit a conspiracy scenario he wants to believe. The people in my head are off on a trip today unfortunately. I know they aren't visiting you because there is no room in your big head for anything but your fantastical thoughts of conspiracies in a corrupt system in a case that makes perfect sense with the facts, and they were not planted by LE nor made to fit, other than some planting done by the ex-girlfriend ... Thanks for the chuckles hun. Work on that anger and bitterness you have. Over and out. Happy Sunday!

@@ana-zb7ix No lol even in custody and on her first questioning where she is brought in as a witness and not a suspect, there is no way an innocent person would say "My life is over." Maybe it would of made more sense if it was on her last questionings if they had framed her and she realizes police is after her, but she never said she was innocent until trial- and when asked who wrote the letter she said it was her and that "her life was over." She knew her life was over because they were onto her, if you did not do it, there is no reason for you to believe you will go to jail. I have seen other questionings where this man was framed for a murder, and he very clearly estates he is innocent from the beginning. It isn't until later questionings he realizes the police is trying to frame him (as well as the killer) and he realizes that he's done. Even the way he behaves gives up his innocence.

For all the people that say how wonderful Kaitlyn was up until the point she became a murderer must not realize that narcissists don’t have real emotions so they study and mimic others from the day they are born. She spent a lot of time with animals and the elderly, probably because she wouldn’t have to put on fake emotions as often. She is sick and I just pray that she doesn’t do this to anyone else when she is out of prison in her 40’s!! 🙏🏼

Narcissists do have feeling. Their emotions and feelings are self serving so they don’t have a sense of altruism or empathy but they do have real emotions. It’s psychopaths and sociopaths who don’t have feeling or empathy. I feel like people use these words interchangeably. In any case, Kaitlyn definitely seems like her “crying” and reactions are forced or planned. It’s not convincing one bit and I do hope, like you, that she doesn’t do anything like this again. Getting out in her 40s is ridiculous.

Speculating; the ex-boyfriend Adam sounds a little bit psychotic and narcissistic. The fact that he said it’s the defendant in court, in such a cold manner, and the fact that he was accused of domestic assault, shows his current personality I think… He thinks he’s slick and got away with something. Imagine if Adam actually knew the passcode to her phone, her password to her email, Etc.? He thinks he got away with framing her successfully. Again, I’m just speculating. I have no opinion either way… But his tone in court because volumes in my opinion. “Make no mistake, I hate the defendant, Kaitlyn Conley. “I mean… In addition to the abuse allegation… It could almost appear as though she has her psychologically under control and framed her for that. She even mentioned that in her interrogation. They asked why would he admit it? She said she doesn’t know, but “some kind of a control issue.” Unfortunately I think both parties in this case thought they were more slick than they turned out to actually be. They both in essence got caught with their pants down… The messiest person involved ended up paying the price. Innocent or not,Adam is really no better than his Aunts

Uh.. lemme get this straight, they interrogate a guy that was mentioned in a "Letter", which, magically shows where they would find the evidence... So they bring in his on again off again girlfriend, and then, she says he confesses to the murder. But when? Because the Toxicology came back 2 months later... Therefore, the girlfriend kept the confession to herself...? Is that not kind of a crime?
@pickles3128
@pickles3128 4 жыл бұрын
Protomario, never thought I'd see you on True Crime Daily's comments section! To answer your question: if she had been telling the truth about her ex murdering his mother, it could be considered either a) obstruction of justice or b) accessory after the fact, both possible felonies with a few years behind bars, depending on the state in question's specific laws. Most of the time, they would either give her partial or full immunity in exchange for her testimony, or at least a half-decent plea deal, in order to secure a conviction against the primary perpetrator. Since she's an attractive, young, white female with no apparent priors, someone like her would have a much better chance at full immunity. Juries are much more hesitant to convict or harshly sentence a young, innocent-looking women than a man in the same situation. Sad but true.
@CorinneCrow

Just because this guys a cheater doesn’t mean he’s a killer. The email evidence as pertaining to the letters that were sent could have only been written and accessed by Katlyn that’s it. Her dna, her ipo address, only person with access. You can’t fight facts. The only person in the office that day was Katlyn to make sure the correct person ingested it. Instead of being suspicious of why the husband wasn’t there that day, they should be looking at the fact that it was the only day katlyn had total access. These sisters may be pissed at their sisters husband for cheating but that doesn’t mean katlyn is innocent and it doesn’t make him a murderer.
