These young men are so impressive and their close bond so touching. I love their adventuresome spirits. I get such a kick out them. They have some many laughs & fun and share the love of nature and the outdoors. Caroline is a very talented and smart young lady. Whatever she turns her hand too, she does beautifully. Just like her Mama. Growing up till 16 as an only child, grandchild and niece, I never had those bonds, yet I would have so enjoyed the woods & lake time camping and fort building with cousins.

The meal section by Caroline was amazing! The lighting and the preparation was beautiful. And the effort of not only preparing the meal but filming it and the voiceover too! I really enjoyed the camping but then transitioning to what basically was a professional cooking show was wow!

Hi guys, ever since I turned my wife on to your channel we’ve watched as soon as your vids drop. Usually for Sunday or Monday dinner. While we enjoy all your vids I especially loved these winter vids. I love the snow and the outdoors, it has been a special treat. Today as I watched, I realized it’s been almost 5yrs since I began watching and your kids are all grown. I was saddened to think that perhaps when they wander off to college and/or get married we’ll miss seeing them as often as we do our children. Loving you guys and your channel.

Thought I would offer a tip I have learned on doing maple syrup. Cook it down outside, not in your cabin. When I did it in my house, it ruined my spices, honey, etc. You can finish it inside. It is a fun process. Takes a long time, but so worth it.

Northern Michigan here… we start it outside also, than move it inside to finish. Just finished the first batch of the season, it’s so much fun!

Overnight camping out in the snow under the moon and stars - what an adventure especially when your vision is limited. Canadian Maple syrup is the only syrup that should ever be used on pancakes - such a pleasurable taste! Caroline, your Irish Stew (as stews goes - Irish stew is my fav soul food) looked yummy and nourishing, accompanied with soft fresh homemade bread - mouthwatering!

You could use aluminum pie tin for a cover or foil.

Just a suggestion, place any unused tomato paste into a freezer zip lock bag, when closed use your finger to separate into Tablespoons, then freeze. When you need some for cooking, just slide one out. Works great and no waste.
