Brasov is far far older than 800 years old. Actually there was continuous settlement of the area for over 11000. Yes 11 thousand but had different names through time like Cumidava or Corona, etc.

I'm pretty sure Papanasi doesn't mean Godfather but that made me giggle.
@flybynightpress5 жыл бұрын
Glad to be entertaining! Naș is literally the word for a godparent in Romanian. We were told by the restaurant owners that Papa-naș(i) means godfather. Not sure about the spelling though.
@SiNN135 жыл бұрын
@@flybynightpress the thing is, Papanasi is a single word, and the most english approppriate translation would be something like ( romanian) cheese pancakes. Still a funny moment tho. Cheers!

No! 100 years since the Great Union. This happened in 1918, when Bessarabia, Bukovina and Transylvania, the three Romanian provinces that had been under foreign domination, united with Romania.

Obergruppenstuppentruppensturmfuhrer SuperStuka It has always belonged to the Romanians, the most numerous population, the oldest population, the population that was formed on these lands and did not migrate like the other minority populations. Now look at the map. What do you see? Exactly, Transylvania is part of Romania. Now you can get the hell out of here.
