Being jealous of a child is silly and all Karmen did was try to be nice to her. When you're married to someone who already has a child, the child is part of you too. If you don't show respect for the child, you're not showing respect for your loved one.

Yeah I hate it when step parents or partners of the single parents want them to themselves. Be careful of who you date cause not everyone likes children, some may even try to get rid of them by either poisoning them or have them kidnapped. Laura was even more crazy than Joan’s later ex boyfriend Larry in the live action movie Cat in the Hat. Larry hated Conrad and wanted him gone, send him to military school. True, Conrad was irresponsible and made bad choices but is sending them to military school really the best for children to teach them discipline? In my opinion, the only way to teach them discipline is through punishments like timeouts and taking away certain privileges.

The way the stepfather speaks to the stepmother in front of the child at the end is gross. And honestly- most men WOULD hurry and jump in the sack after a trip of missing their significant other...even if it is the child's real mother because fathers in general put their spouse/partner ahead of the kids. Kids being put first is what is wrong in society today. With all the divorce and separation, it does get confusing because the kids were there first but most psychology and family therapy states the spouse still comes first as far as respect and honor go. Kids need to be tended to first often but they should not be one-upped over a parent, step or not. The father does a huge disservice to the child by disrespecting the other parent.

Why and How can you be jealous of child? There’s a difference between being mad and being jealous, of the bond of a daughter and father.
